Yeah - you're partly right. It can be considered a bug that there is a search button visible while in Shares view. I will look at that.

Btw: You DO have that database with different views because searching the filesystem would be too slow...

Since the folder view looks way better then database view(especially in xface) it would be great if the search button just would search as if you where in database view. Either that or it shouldnt be there in folder view as personally i just thougt it was broken, and i belive most people will think that.

Sorry - but regardless which skin you use the controls are 100% the same for each share...

If you're unhappy with the lookalike of specific Database-View levels just edit them in configuration.exe to suit your needs. E.g. if you do not like covers set album level to use viewmode "list".


Edit: Since most users like to "explore" all our nice features without reading boring manuals like the wiki I've attached a screenshot which shows how to do that.

I found a bug, not sure its been adressed before but here goes.

When you enter now playing in music, and leave again - All of the nowplaying info is gone. And will not appear again untill mediaportal is restarted.

It have actually been there for a long time, even in the first beta. But I forgot about it, since i seldom use now playing.

When I hit the "L" key for cycle-through available teletext subtitles on tvplugin, then nothing is shown.
The top bar indicator is missing. It is present and working in b2 skin.

The subtitles are working fine, it's just hard to select the right subs when doing it in "total darkness".

I've installed version 1.2 (the last release) and this is present on movie section, too
The same thing happens if I press the key for cycle-through available audio languages the audio is changed but the top bar is NOT showed...

I hope these bugs will be solved in the next release

If the database does not contain ten thousands of subitems you can just remove the line which contains the "grouping".

OK i have tried it but the best view is the folder view for me... so i agree that the search should also working in the folder view

So please add the search also to the folder view ;-)
