Xface Skin Version 1.6 ready for download 09.06.2008 (5 Viewers)

Since I installed the released version 0.2.3 right before installing Xface 1.3/1, I'm not sure which causes these problem:
1. Every time I click a picture icon (movies, photo, plugins,...), the icons move, so I end up clicking the wrong icon.
2. On the basic home screen, using the scroll wheel of the mouse, I can only chose 1 or 2 items on the list, not every icon
3. Right mouse button now becomes ESC, I used to use it to go to IMDB, but now I can't.
Perhaps all these came from installing the 0.2.3 release?

Hi Harley,
Great work on the skin. Could I suggest that you create a new thread when you do an update, rather than add to the existing one? It's really hard to figure out what's new. Also your "see more here" is pointing to this same thread that the user is already reading anyway, which is even more confusing.
The reason I find it confusing is that I'm not reading this thread every day and when I see the title of "Xface Skin Version 1.3 ready.. 17/11/07" then I think that the thread is all about a new version of the skin. Yet when I start reading the thread, I discover I'm reading stuff from back in August.

Remove brackets "[]" around foldername
Hello Harley
I heard that everybody didnt like the brackets around the name when it is a folder.
Well, here's a fix for that, which anyone can use, or if you want to set in the skin (I wish you did).
The easy fix is to add the following lines to the control, since default setting is with "[" and "]".
<folderPrefix></folderPrefix>
<folderSuffix></folderSuffix>
I attach the files regarding music, video and picture views for this latest releas of Xface (543).
PS. I will try to see if I can remove the (unwanted!) slide-effect when moving from a submenu back to the menu in BasicHome .DS

A couple of things i noticed.
The number of objects is not shown in movies when you view them in Icons, Big Icons and List mode.
Also i couldn't find the Subtitles menu when i brought up the movie OSD.
An opinion
The Movie OSD is big and it's a 4:3 menu which kinda dosent look that good. Maybe is better to make it widescreen and place it at the bottom of the screen instead in the middle so that it dosen't block the entire movie?

A other very nice skin and even better then almost perfect PMIII
Just some remarks of the tings "I" dint like that mouths and maybe its just because of my TV, got one of those new bright high contrast LCD TV's
Because on my monitor Xface looks mouths better. But i prefer to see films they way i set it up on my tv.
1. why not make the display picture a lot bigger you have the space for it
2. The highlight/select color blends in a bit whit the already seen films, why not use purple still looks good but also is a total different color then the back ground
3. The white background/border line's over glare a bit,
The same go's for the letters on the sliding menu (Withs i really love btw) they also over glare, and that one even a bit more
4. Bottom beam is also very bright on my screen and it got also a bit of unused space You have the space for more line's.
Below I did a quick cut and paste what "I" think could be improved imho

Channel change banner has overlapping text
Hi Harley. It's looking great!
One small issue - when you change TV channel by entering the channel number, the banner that shows has the channel name overlapping the progress bar. See attached. The name shown is currently the longest (UK DVB-T) in terms of the font used. In TV Guide, it is the only name that is wider than the space allocated to channel name. Several channels with names that fit in TV Guide overlap in this dialog.
(File is tvzaposd.xml. I fixed by adding 100 to <posX> for start time and progress bar and subtracting 100 from <width> of progress bar.)

I'm running Mediaportal 0.2.3 final without additionnal pluggin and I've got a problem with the latest Xface version I don't encounter with other skins :
Mediaportal runs perfectly but when I scroll between the files (audio or video files) I've got the display freezes : when I press up or down the highlighted file changes (I can hear it and see it on the small LCD on my case) but I've got no feedback on screen. Sometimes it happens on the 6th file when I scroll, sometime on the 2nd.
I don't have this problem with the other themes, I tried to flush the cache but the problem remains.
Any idea ? I love this theme and it would be great to know how to solve this bug.

you may want to look at this Thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/ati_690g_x1250_problems-t29894.html . It is primarily based on the ATI X1... video cards/690G chipset. This maybe what is causing your lockups if you run this hardware. There are other psosts descibring and resolving this issue as well.
