I had another wish

Why is the TV screen splitted in one menu screen and one fullscreen page?

why not making one fullscreen tv page where the menus for recordings etc. is sliding in, that is what i need for a receiver replacement

i have made a small picture what i mean.

i choose TV, tv fullscreen is opened, now i can press a button and the menu appears for EPG,Recording and the other stuff.

is this possible?

my wife asks me everytime why is there 2 screens...

Cause not all tasks necessarily have live tv running.
You can manage recordings or schedule events which has no relation to live tv.
Why do you need that for a receiver replacement?
MP already replaced my receiver without that.

problem:

When entering Settings->General the only item changable is the skin itelf. Scrolling down to the other items like fullscreen etc is not possible. Any idea what is causing this? The settings_general.xml is identical to that of BTW where it works.

i dont like it for tv to choose fullscreen, for recordings and so choosing the "hormal" tv mode.

because my receiver witch im using now is a dreambox S7000 and i have there a fullscreen tv, if i press the menu button then appearing icons on the bottom of the screen to select what im want to do, ie red button = epg and so.

I know that MP can lot more then a dreambox and that there is a need for a menu, but if i are in the tv mode i want to have tv and not a (windows) application (like) to use this with menus.

In the most of time (90%) we watching tv and recorded shows, and not scheduling editing or do something other with MP.
The other cases are to watch movies (HD), listen music (mp3) or radio (web, dvb).

why i need MP+TVS3 is that i can watch + record DVB-S2 signals on a great way (with 1 or 2 problems at the moment)

i hope you understand me why i dont want a splitted TV section... and yes my wife is a reason to.

This is the best skin I've ever used so far, however can I add some suggestions?

- Agree with JulianBuss the highlight of the current item list is not visible enough.
- Very nice the CD/DVD case for the thumbnails, but the thumbs are cropped on the left hand side, they should be "inside" the case taking in account the left CD case border.

Also what is the "ideal" folder.jpg size in order to display decently filmstrip view? I have a 1920*1200 screen and the music thumbs are typically 200*200 but at full screen they look rubbish ;-(

Hi, I've just installed 2.3.0 RC2 and this skin, and everything's working alright, but I don't see the slanted dvd/cd covers... they're all facing directly at me, not at an angle (as they are in the screens). Also, the art doesn't really fit, the leftmost bit gets covered by the overlay cd picture. Anyway, how do I enable the slanted covers?

...you must use latest svn for this skin !

with RC2 without a new svn the skin will not work.

to all who have not the right thumb resolution for displaying the filmstripview like you see it in the screenshots.

You must switch to better resolution for the thumbs, you can do that easy in the Mp setup, see the screenshot:

But Xface use always 192 quality resolution (in filmstripmode too) and never 768
