xml file but no ts file when recording TV (1 Viewer)

Since updating to 1.0 RC3, I intermittently have the problem where only .xml file is created for a TV recording and no actual .ts file. I can't track it to any particular sequence of events, just happens apparently randomly.

Hopefully I've managed to attach TV Server Log files?

As examples, MP was meant to record "Bewitched" today at 12.00 noon and "Ben-Hur" at 12.30pm. Xml's were created, but no ts files for either program.

Cheers,
Steve.

OK then, guess this is only happening to me then?

Getting damn frustrating though. That little red recording light fires up, there is hard disk activity as if the ts file is being recorded "somewhere" (yes, I know you have to set the recording location for each TV card :) but hey presto, an xml file but no ts file.

Guess I'll try RC4 :)

Cheers,
Steve.

yes, I know you have to set the recording location for each TV card :)

That's the famous one, the only other thing i could think of, did you tune each card individually (easier than assigning by hand) and make sure relevant channels were assigned to the correct cards only.

Not nice when you think your talking to yourself :(

    Hi Ray,

Thanks for taking pity on me and talking to me :)

Errrm, yes, each card is tuned individually. Actually, I didn't think there was any other way to do it? It's all free to air stuff here and both cards receive the same stations. So when I look at the list of channels for each card, they are identical.

I played around a bit more yesterday and it seemed that the problem may only be happening with one of the cards. In the absence of any other ideas, I re-scanned for channels on that card. It didn't find any new, but updated all the ones that were already there. I did about a dozen test records after that and they all seemed to work, but as with these things, I reckon it just lulled me into a false sense of security again and as soon as I turn my back "Wham!" :)

I'll see how it goes. Once again, thanks for your reply :)

    Cheers,
    Steve.
