    @tourettes

    Do you have any clue why this tweak with FFDShow and doubling the framerate with hardware deinterlacing does the trick that you have no more stutter?

    Will the gui of Mediaportal 2 always be smooth (like 50/60 fps) even if you play a 25 fps-movie?

    Thanks Mironicus, the workaround works. For me it's a good solution because I only have the problem with content played without DXVA (xvid, tipically pal resolution). For instance a DVD 25fps played at 50hz has no stutter a all, as well as h.264 content.

    Hi Owlsroost

    Version "dshowhelper_owlsroost_200410_v004_vsync_always_dll" works pretty well on my system. Stuttering on xvid movies has almost vanished and only comes up for a while after skipping.

    Thanks a lot.

    After a lot of testing, I found that using the v004 DLL together with reclock (with vsync disabled) seems to fix this problem with 25fps xvid.

    I have to try the original RC2 DLL with reclock since I didn't made this test with reclock vsync disabled.

    its only on avi`s! if i check the same avi with xbmc, then it runs clear without stuttering.
    have also no reclock.
    have only ffdshwo running.
    have also tried this helper.dll with no sucess;(

    According to his system specs, Parkuhr is running XP.

    The changes in my dshowhelper dll's are only to the EVR renderer code (Vista/Win 7) - the VMR9 (XP) code is exactly the same as the standard dll.

    :oops: :sorry:...

    maybe the best solution is pass on evr (vista/7), and then use Tony's dll.

    Yes off course. But its not solving the problem. In his answer, there is the explanation why not.

    only becouse this stuttering chance the whole! o.s, is no alternative for me.
    knows anyone if this stuttering-avi-bug is solvend in the new rc6?
