I suppose most of the users reduce or disable UAC since it can become really annoying :)

Will see with cheezey if it's something we can handle differently.

I use shark007 codecs, which cant be used without UAC. I really hope that Yatzie 2 can be used with UAC turned on... It might work with some reduce of UAC level.

Can you please explain to me what UAC got to do with codecs

Easiest way to explain is by a qoute I think:

"The Settings Application is 100% UAC compliant.
Restricted access is enforced. (User Account Control)
The Application allows each user to maintain individual codec settings while at the same time seamlessly integrating any administrative commands directly into the users account. New users accounts are detected upon opening the Application and automatically inherit the Administrators settings."

Ah...that sounds like a smart thing, for pc's with multiple users indeed......not sure if a pc with mp installed needs that.
But thanks for the explanation. It sounded a bit wierd for me, but now i understand it.

Yes... thats the explanation... I guess the underlying reason is that its difficult to do any program/applications for Vista/7 without UAC in consideration.

    Hi Tolriq,

This plug in looks great. I don't yet have a touchscreen and wanted to test this directly on my MP clients using mouse to begin with, however I'm having a couple of issues setting it up. I'm using the standard ports of 55667 and 55668. As mentioned before due to UAC I have to run MP as administrator to get the listening port to work. I've tried the netsh command from Cheezey but that doesn't work for me - MP always crashes unless run as admin.

However, when run as admin and the port is open (I can telnet to both ports successfully on each client so firewall is set up correctly) I can't seem to set up the remote. I have a dedicated TV server and 2 clients. I've perhaps missed something important but here's what I did on each client:

    Run MP as administrator

Open Yatse directly on the client

Remote name set as the client's Win 7 name
    Left remote apl as XBMC-Camelot
Remote IP set to each client's IP address (I've tried 127.0.0.1 for local without port number - no joy either)
    Remote port is 55668
Login and password I've tried the client's login Id and password to no avail. Also tried admin/admin as mentioned in a previous post, no luck
Click Verify and get Bad Remote Parameters message every time.

There must be something I've missed so apoligies if it's something simple, but any help or assistance greatly appreciated so I can test your app.

    Many thanks
    Si

tolriq: well hehhe, maybe you did see some catogories in the sql entry's - not sure if it works that way. But in moving pictures, i made catogories
like - new, kids movies, genre etc etc. Maybe it is possible to filter on the catogories....

Also, i noticed that TVseries doesnt have any entry's in my library - though i have them on my client.

Sorry for my bad english, but this is kinda typed in a rush - later on i'll be more specific...

I'm totally on this great project!

Yes you miss the important part :)

The api must be Media-Portal iPiMP. If you don't have it then you probably have installed the official release and not the beta linked in the first post :)

My provider comes tomorrow let's hope i have internet back to prepare a real release :)

For TvSeries i suppose you don't have the required minimal TvSeries version. Check ipimp site but i think it's 2.6.3.

For movies, for the moment Yatse does not handle filtering on genre.

Aha! Yes, rather important indeed. Sorry about that. I'll try the beta version tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

    Thanks Tolriq.
