To others it seems that there was some downloads of the beta, i really need some feedback about the correct functioning to be able to push a real release as soon as I've Internet back. Or to corrects bugs of course if there's some left.

Hi Tolriq,

So now I have it working since installing the beta version (D'OH!) and I must say I like it a lot! Very nice app. I only have a few things to mention so far:

1, I'm having the same problem with administrator rights as mentioned previously. Tried the netsh command as Cheezey suggested but that doesn't work. I have to run MP as admin every time. I auto-log in my clients as standard users with UAC turned on and auto-start MP, so running as admin is impractical.
2, Now Playing screen works great on TV series and movies, but not on Music, so I can't pause, skip or change volume. And once a music track is playing and then go back to play a movie or TV series, the now playing screen no longer appears there either. I have to restart Yatse to get it back, but even then the now playing appears for a few seconds before the main menu pops up. At that point I no longer have control of what's playing and have to restart the movie.

Perhaps you could add a button that directly brings up the now playing screen from any menu?

Also are you planning to add functionality for normal TV?

Other than that it works very well indeed so far. I'll keep testing and report back anything else I find but so far, so very good! I'm really impressed! Excellent work Tolriq, and Cheezey of course!

Edit: Just found the remote icon in the top-right Yatse screen is a direct link to now playing and further remote options.

Try

netsh http add urlacl url=http://+:55668/mpcc user=Everyone

(changing the port if required)

Also run

netsh http show urlacl

and post the results.

For UAC can you please try to change the + by a *.
And also try to change the user=Everyone to user=MACHINENAME\Username (with correct value of course).

For the second part not sure to understand all.
Can you please explain the step to reproduce and upload the log file please ?

Superb - netsh command now works perfectly thanks.

To reproduce issue number 2:

Open Yatse

Go to music, open an album, play a track. Music plays on MP but "now playing" screen does not automatically appear on Yatse.

Clicking the remote icon on top right shows the "now playing" screen but without all controls or album artwork. Screen shot attached.

Now go back to main menu, go to Movies, play a movie, "now playing" screen no longer appears.

Click remote icon on top right shows exactly same screen shot as attached with previous music track.

Hope that makes more sense. Log also attached.

Basically switching * for + was the winner. Trying machinename\username on my other client worked also.

Will check more but quickly looking to the log, the problem is that you have selected the option music fanart rotation in personalize option.

But since MP does not handle fanart the directory is empty so it generate a little bug.

The bug should be corrected for next version but disable this option and it should works better

e.a 2341323 - start -024898 end....totally random and messed up timestamps.

If talking about time and duration of media in currently i'm not aware of a bug, but please upload a log in trace mode so i can see what can be causing this
