The contrast slider remains being a mystery to me ;)
Please explain... The contrast does not change?? can you post the MediaPortal log...
Not at the moment - again recordings going on - will have a tighter look at that tomorrow - promised :)

The option "use clock at shutdown" shows the display's standby screen
It sounds like during shutdown the driver is restarting MHC... and then MHC is sending is doing it's thing for the standby/hibernate... I'll have to think about how to do a workaround...
Nope, as MHC is absolutely disabled here :) Btw. The standby screen is the large character digital clock. See attached picture. I rather think that the standby screen is something buildt in to the display. Remeber we discussed some of these sequences that obviously set the time, day of week, etc and then sen th display to standby. when i disable the option in the driver's config dialogue, the display shows "Not active" after shutdown of MP. So don't worry about MHC at all - it's not involved. What i gonna find out is how to set the large chracter clock without standby message - this definately is possible - do you still have the old COM port logs? there must be one, where I set this clock using the MHC tool :) I still cant spy out the COM port any longer as this eval version expired... We'll find the solution...

The VU Meter 2 doesn't give me any senseful display
Yes... A video clip would be good... you don't describe what is being displayed... it SHOULD display the left channel on the top row with the bar originating on the left and the right channel on the bottom row originating on the right...
Something like that, yeah! :) See clips attached to the other article :D

A little issue: The version shown in the display selection combo box is not the current version :D
That is correct... The version of a specific driver will have the date of the last revision of that specific driver... I have deen doing some work on the MatrixMX and iMONLCDg drivers since there hasn't been any activity in here is the past few days, so it's version has fallen a little behind...
I switched off thinking it seems - let's discuss SOA-based e-government service platforms in the context of the special political intentions of the city of berlin - waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh ;)

    Axel, exhausted :)

PS: did you ever get an injection right into the elbow? great feeling!

    Ok.

See clips attached to the other article :D
Ok... what's wrong with that??? It looks COOL!!!

The video helped... I have posted (or, rather, will as soon as I finish this reply) a fix... (It should work MUCH better if I actually draw the bottom row... and define the full bar character... 8-} )

    Hmmm... EQ style "VU Meter 3"... maybe not 8-}

8-}... So... did you test the new version??? is it fixed??? does it look better???

Cooperation with politicians is not the issue.... I just don't like politics... (especially right now... We just started into a provincial election campaign.)

A little bit! See attached video showing Katie Melua on the dsplay - I think she looks much better on TV or life :) Again the flickering and I guess the R peak is supposed to go from right to left instead of going from left to right... A rather unusual VU meter ;)

I also looked at the contrast slider - it works as in if I set it to a very low value i can see a dimming effect... setting it to something like 50% doesn't make an eye catching difference - at least not on this display here being watched with these eyes here :)

And now I am off for today... Gotta see my politicians again tomorrow :)

    Greets & Co

    Axel

PS can I remove all the uploads? I am approaching the upload limit :)

A little bit! See attached video

I'll look at it later... I've done enough for today and need to get some sleep...

I set it to a very low value i can see a dimming effect...

The scaling factor may be wrong... I'll get you to do some test later (if that's ok) and we'll try to fix it..

setting it to something like 50% doesn't make an eye catching difference

In what way?? Is it not significantly brighter than a very low contrast? Is it too dim? it is too bright? Is it the wrong color? (oops... sorry.... wrong display 8-} )

can I remove all the uploads?

Yes... Please leave the USB captures for a day or two... I'll save them in the morning...

the VU Meter 2 is still buggy.

Yes... it is... I just can't seem to get the math right... (I've since managed to get some sleep... the new version (just posted) should fix it...)

the "R" is still on the right side of the line two.

    It's supposed to...
