Makes no difference at all for me Still needs 5-6 seconds for first TV image.

Did you stop and restart tvservice from TVServer config, this is under manual control tab.

This may be different for each make TV card, does depend on how the drivers are compiled, so this may vary, that's why it was disabled by default in the first place, does not benefit everyone and if you have viewing issues this is the first thing i would revert.

While i've stuttering in live-TV nothing happens in log only the log lines i've posted in my last post. If A/V value is positive no stuttering occurs when it is negative I've stuttering. (Don't know what the A/V Value means)

    @disater123

    Are you using latest tsreader ? ( tsreader_swede.zip )

The log is trigged when Timestamp from media clock is below 100mS ( or ~the first 40 frames. ). A/V is number of buffers available. It normally starts around 200~300mS for Audio, and should never change.

If it becomes low or negative later, there is an issue somewhere.

That is really interresting is to know if the stream has been started properly or not, or if the problem has occured after some seconds or more...

In the grubi log, the problem is probably not the same as yours, because filter is continuously restarting or doing strange things.

yes i'm using the latest tsreader_swede. OK I had two problems. First one was that changing from HD with AC3 to SD - didn't work and i've dia show with stuttering sound. From this issue i don't have logs anymore.

The second issue was while watching live-tv - it sometimes starts stuttering. So the stream starts fine and then sometimes it stutters. The log is full of these lines but it only stutters when A/V is negative.

My problems were only intermittant during a few hours (even after reboot). Not able to reproduce it now. If problem reappears if will supply a full set of logs:oops:.

BTW. Are your mods posted here part of the SVN released today? If not is it possible to apply the patch to it?
What is the best way to continue testing?

    grubi.

But is there not a post related to ac3filter that says MPA codec does not have this issue, so might this be totally codec related, and not to this fix by ambass, or are you saying it works fine without these files and only breaks when they are used.

In the past it works fine BUT i've reinstalled the system so i'm not sure. I'll test this again without the patches and so on. But my other (bigger) problem stays alive :)

    Subchannel problem

    Hi,

thx for the really great work! :)
    Its really fast now! :)

But I have a problem with Subchannels, like "Premiere Sport Portal".

If I switch from the Portal to a Subchannel, it switch's back to the Timeshift beginning... this goes overall channels not only the portal.
I had to manually ff to the end of the timeshift buffer, to see live TV.

Also i can't see the status bar or the "F9" menu. So I can't switch back to the Portal or any other Subchannel. The only way is using the mini-epg, change the channel and switch back to the portal.

I hope you understand what I mean

I've never played with AC3filter ( Personally Spdifer if perfect to send digital to amplifier ), but I've seen we can "play" with delay features in AC3filter. I'm quite sure this can break the small 200~300mS between Rx audio samples from provider and presentation time.

In this case it will make stuttering and other nasty effects and samples could be too late to be presented on time.
