Hi CyberSimian (and others) just a bit along the coast from me (near Exeter) - I know you are very long-standing!
Not going to make this long winded or anything, but just to point out over the @15 years I've overall donated several hundred quid. And I begrduge NONE of it, not a penny - I do...
ONGGGG term MP user (and donator - why wouldn't you?) and leaving somewhat reluctantly. Few reasons, some that just seem intractable.
1) Microsoft are being a right pain with wanting my TV recorder PC NEEDING a login - it's an appliance guys! Pity really, I was looking forward to them not...
I've got several self written plugins* and wondered about moving to MP2.
To enable this I'd have to be able to convert these to however MP2 wants them - assuming they can!
Is there an idiot's guide (trust me - I'm an idiot even if I am an experienced developer of 40+ years). I assume I'd have...
I know I'm 'out there' but HomeSeer integrates with Google Home directly - a lot less fuss and interfacing to it is a LOT easier (and more secure than most IoT things) it's stupidly flexible. OK, it costs money but it really is worth it in my view. I have a fee Android app which allows you to...
I never found a single 'version of truth' last time I actually looked, but admittedly that was AGES ago. But my Automation/Automator* plugin DOES what you are saying. And I HAVE been using it for years (at least ten) as my interface to MP.
Problem is that if (say) I write a plugin, there isn't...
Global Cache will send IR - but I think it is far from easy. For my MP use I have a plugin (mine - Automator/Automation) which allows me to send a TCP/IP packet and it does things. So my commands to turn on Radio 2 (Don't judge me <grin>) are -
Screen Home
Press Radio
Press …
Press All Channels...
Oh, look what you made me do - I had to login to reply.
Yes, MP is an integral part of my HomeAutomation - but I use HomeSeer [HS] for the actual work (it is just SOOO flexible). I wrote some plugins.
One allows me to send a command to HS from an MP screen and another allows HS to control...
That's a shame about Huha not being here (since 2016) - hope he is OK.
The source code is available on the first link, I use TVWishList on 1.19 it is fine, but I made some 'Classic' files for it.
I don't like Titan - too bright, impressive but not what I want out of a TV, and my MP automation...
No logs yet - at work (lunchtime).
Since updating from MP1.6 to MP1.8 on my server/single seat system when I play recorded TV, it is fine. But - finish watching (stop, delete) and play something else and no audio.
Took a few times of this happening and me changing the audio renderer (normally...
Odd, can't seem to find my plugin subject but as a quick fix here is the dropbox link to the dll -https://www.dropbox.com/sh/quqr0lexsmmn4p1/AADoImUfFZKdMnphG9Z8Mvt-a?dl=0
Just copy it into your MP Plugins\Windows\ folder - should work fine (restart MP).
If you want the sources just ask - I...
I bet you're feeling smug - fixing my problem in less time than it took me to write the darn thing.
The question was as you answered - what version did I need.
Obviously (obviously???) I hadn't looked a MadVR (whatever that is) as also obviously I don't use it - except apparently I do or might...
I have several [VB.NET] plugins (my own, HomeSeer, Clock, Automator, Torch amongst others) which I have rebuilt referencing the new dlls.
These are fine, the problem is with one I [COUGH] nicked*...
(*I nicked the code and made some changes so that it worked the way I wanted it to by using F9...
You're right - I normally run full screen (so can't get the the audio) and I thought that was referring to the SPDIF output.
You are 100% correct and I am suitably and officially THICK!
I am now going to go away and >think< about what I've done, severe slap on the wrist time.
Thank you Holzi...
Sorry, not that (I found that thread).
a) I don't have that option - not using SPIDF just HDMI
b) If I mute/unmute then I get MP showing the red/blue volume mute at the top - but no sound.
The fact that it works on TV Server Preview and even (currently an old) client can play live/recordings...
