My apologies.
After reading your comment I just went downstairs to check and the Freesat EPG runs out on Friday so it clearly has stopped collecting any further data.
Hi
I think the last time I set up TV server I had an issue with TV Server not finding Freesat Info or any of the other channels I thought were on the same transponder and I had to add Freesat Info manually. These were the parameters I used:
Transponder

Frequency

Hi @tony72
I tried a GT 1030 and had issues with stuttering, I think mostly because 2GB seemed too low for UHD and HDR. I changed to a GTX 1050ti. I think it is an MSI card where the fans only come on briefly at startup and then if the card needs cooling. I don't have an issue with stuttering...
I am using a Silverstone LC10M that has a iMon VFD, and it works fine for me with Windows 8.1, update 1, and MediaPortal 1.8.0 Pre-Release. I would also agree after the recent re-write this works better, as I no longer have to manually copy files in to the MediaPortal folder to make it work. I...
Hi
If you haven't bought it yet, it might be better to go for something like:

From the picture (assuming it is accurate) this version has...

I let the HTPC hibernate whenever I am not using it, so it spends most of the time in hibernate (all that is visibly on is the VFD display on the front which I have set to say, "MediaPortal Home Theatre PC" when the PC is not awake). I normally use a Humax Foxsat box to watch live TV...

I only have the Freesat Info channel ticked in my main HTPC and that gets me the EPG for all the Freesat Channels. I do need the channels such as Dave ticked as I get this from Freeview (as it is encrypted on satellite). However, if it is working for you and you are getting a full 7 day...
Paul
Those are Freesat channels so should populate. It can take a while for the EPG to populate from empty I assume that it is because it had to grab around 7 days of data for around 100 channels (+ regions). I think if it then updates (I set MediaPortal to wake up at 04:00 each day to update...

Unless you change the channel group being displayed, the channels will display in the order in MediaPortal - TV Server Configuration --> TV Channels and then the "All Channels" tab.
Personally I add a Channel group (TV Channels, Channels tab, bottom right Channel groups Add button) and...
Hi
The Freesat EPG grabber has been built into standard MediaPortal for some time. The mods mentioned above however will give you EPGs for more channels (if you want to use the BSkyB EPG) and I believe they have other functions such as channel group and series link that the MediaPortal built...
Hi Paul
To answer your questions:
1) Yes those settings are correct.
2) BSkyB shows as the provider on a lot of the channels and this is OK. The issue is whether they are encrypted or not. As long as they are not encrypted you can view them in MediaPortal without any sort of decryption...
I find that the HD channels using Dolby Digital (5.1 and 2.0) are quieter on my Humax Foxsat Freesat box as well as in MediaPortal so I am guessing it is in the way they are broadcast. My sound does go through an HD AV receiver but I find for SD TV a volume of 20 is OK whereas I have to up it to...
I use the Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder for sound for TV but Lav for videos. I do use a receiver on my HTPC though and this decodes my sound. I think though this also works OK as well on my desktop, which does use speakers (5.1) attached to the soundcard. You do need to make sure that the...
Hi kuko
Have you gone into MediaPortal - Configuration, TV, TV Client and in the Audio setting tab and selected "Prefer AC-3 sound" in the Audio stream settings box at the bottom?
I am not sure if this will help, but on the UK DVB-S/S2 HD channels this means my receiver gets a Dolby Digital...
