    Automatic Refreshrate Changer

Yeah, I ended up trying 12noon, and it was much simpler and more effective than I though it would be. :) I'm loving this new nV card, much nicer to use than the old 3450 ati. It even sets 23.976hz, which I could never get the damn ati to do. Also, no longer being restrained by ati's dxva...

    Automatic Refreshrate Changer

Small problem here with the nVidia control panel. I just replaced my ATI 3450 with an nVidia 9500GS. My TV (Samsung 6 series) supports 24p, and I had no trouble with the ATI profiles. Now I'm just trying to set up the custom profiles in the nvidia control panel, but every time I hit "test"...

Is it possible to "autoswitch" to HDMI-Input?

I've had two different 6 series, the first was stolen, and the second is the replacement. The first one had no DTV tuner (early NZL model), and the remote had an "HDMI" button, that with one press, switched to the active HDMI chanel, i.e. my HTPC. Nice and easy. The replacement I just got now...

    MyTVSeries won't setup

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/my-tvseries-162/start-import-hangs-52610/ That may be of some help. I had similar symptoms with my latest install, and noticed it was caused by a bad memory leak, which turns out what caused by the version of Mediainf.dll I had installed. Worth a look in any...

    Start Import Hangs

Ahh, thinking about it, it may well have been there from a previous install of "Refresh Rate Changer".

    Start Import Hangs

Ahh, this is what I was looking for. I just installed the latest MP SVN and StreamedMP, and decided to do a full re-import for tvseries. It kept eating up all 2GB of RAM, and 3Gb of pagefile before erroring out. :( Replacing the mediainfo.dll that came with the svn (7.10.0) with an older...

Ongoing Samsung Series 6 52 inch and Catylist Control Centre Optimum Settings

Oh, that's a bit strange. With underscan not at "0", do you get a black border around the outside? I need to have it set to "0" for the image to fit the screen completely, which also gives me the sharpest picture/text, as it's 1:1. (This is with a 40" 6 Series)

    Automatic Refreshrate Changer

Quite a lot of stuff is Variable Frame Rate, if it's been encoded properly (which is usually isn't). Most NTSC Sci-Fi DVD's have 23.976 film rate for the normal scenes, and 29.97fps progressive for the special effects/CGI stuff (Stargate, Babylon 5, etc), so should be encoded with VFR. The...

On the 6 series Samsungs with ATI, setting the TV to "Just Scan, underscan to 0, and 1920x1080 res, is what should give you 1:1 pixel mapping.

Judder or stutter while playing MKV in MP but not in MPC or WMP...

Have you tried setting media portal to use MPC-HC's "MPCVideoDecoder" codec for h.264/AVC, so you get hardware decoding in MP, like you're obviously getting in MPC-HC? You're always going to get some stutter in slow panning shots with 23.976 .mkv files in any case, unless you have your monitor...

    Automatic Refreshrate Changer

Yeah, I'm using ReClock with the Auto Refresh Rate Changer, so all the media (23.976/24/25/29.97/30/etc) I have plays amazingly well on my 24p capable TV. Pausing it after it goes OOS does fix it at times, but I need to pause it a few times to get it back in the right spot. Plus, it usually...

    Automatic Refreshrate Changer

Yeah, I understand that, it's just that EVR is unusable no matter what I try (due to the audio sync issues many others are seeing too). :(

    Automatic Refreshrate Changer

Are you guys sure it's perfect? When you seek forward say 20 mins, is the audio still perfectly in sync instantly? Often it's only out ~10-30ms for me with EVR, which a lot of people don't even notice, but it drives me insane personally. The new CoreAVC now has hardware decoding via CUDA, so...

GPU support for playing full HD video

dxva can be a picky beast at times, especially with ATI cards (no L5.1 support etc). New CoreAVC supports hardware decoding with CUDA now it seems, although that's still not much help for ATI users. (wish I'd never bought this 3450 :/)

    Automatic Refreshrate Changer

Same problem here. I just keep losing sync by varying amounts when using EVR. Nothing seems to fix it. Using VMR9 there's no sync issues at all, but I get the same bugs you're seeing with it. Screwed either way :/ I've just been putting up with the bugs with VMR9 - they tend to only be...
