OK, got most of the HTPC running like I prefer and am now installing emulators/roms and thought to myself... "Self, is it possible to use 2 wireless gampads at the same time?" Sadly, self had no answer... Do you?

I had two USB wired gamepads working well with the Mame emulators, but haven't bothered to set it up again after a rebuild but I can tell you it did work and I don't see why it still wouldn't.

Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this.

My TV PC is more a cast-off on older hardware (a 'Quiet PC' i5 4690, 16GB ram, 2xSSD 1xHDD, system graphics), mainly as a cheap way...
maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?

also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.
