I am testing MP2 Alpha4 today, and I have a server/client setup on my HTPC and a Client only install on my Main PC.
when the MP2 screen saver turns on on my Client only PC, it disconnects it from the server.
I am not even able to detach and reattach to the home server at this point.
I need to reboot my HTPC in order for my client to see the global shares again.

Thanks Morpheus
It turns out it's not the screensaver, so much as just idle time away from the client PC.
I turned off the screensaver, and it still happened.
I am able to watch an episode without any issues, so I stepped away from my PC for about 30 mins.
When I came back, all of my global shares were no longer on main screen, and detach/reattach home server does not find any servers.

Morpheus, I hope you don't mind...
jpichie, I see 'Winserver.example.com' (IP address: '172.16.2.2' in your logs.
Are you using a DNS server that looks to the internet? example.com is a live domain.

System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

It would be helpful to people like Morpheus if the server and client logs were included.
Then they can look and see what did what at the exact same time.

    Hey Breese:
Maybe I am having some internal DNS issues, I just re did the setup of my untangle box, as I updated to untangle 10.
The default domain it puts is example.com
I just removed it to see if it will help, I also attached my server logs.

Well now that we have the server logs...
    Yep.. problem #1 is DNS

Breese, Morpheus, thanks for the help.
I had to add a static DNS entry for my server in my untangle box.
looks like it is all sorted now.

ok, so I left my clients on over night, and it had the same issue.
I am not sure why it is having problems finding my server with the DNS.
Here is my output from my untangle appliance (handles dhcp, dns, webfilter, etc).

    SERVER
    Tue Feb 11 2014 22:34:45 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) - Test Started
    winserver.jayhome has address 172.16.2.2
    Test Successful
    Tue Feb 11 2014 22:34:48 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) - Test Completed

    CLIENT
    Tue Feb 11 2014 22:35:01 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) - Test Started
    ascension.jayhome has address 172.16.2.3
    Test Successful
    Tue Feb 11 2014 22:35:03 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) - Test Completed

I even added static DNS entries for winserver.jayhome pointing to the IPaddress 172.16.2.2
    any ideas?

Also, this could be moved from bugs to MP2 general

I see you changed the DNS names of your machines.
    The server is now winserver
    The client is now ascension
    What is JayIT-PC.jayhome ?

The connections are very confusing. Seems your DNS does not know the real names of anything.

    Side Note:
It also appears you have shared entire drives and changed the permissions on everything because the scans include hidden folders

What are you using for DNS and or DHCP?
There seems to be a lot changing on your network. Without some stability, there are going to be issues.
