I have copied the appropriate dll (infoservice.dll) into the plugins/windows folder and there is no plugin listed in MP config. Am I missing something?

You are true, infoservice plugin doesn't work with MP X64

You need to open project properties and set platform to AnyCPU. I suppose now is set to x86.

Well, I was checking the original WorlWeather plugin and it looks like the AccuWeather provider doesn't work.
I'm afrraid I need custom subscription key and grabbing data from html doesn't seem to me a good option.
