As far as I know, MediaPortal does not support 64-bit windows at the moment. Someone was trying to get it working recently with 64-bit drivers for their tuner, but I don't think they had much luck. Search around.

Yeah, it´s a tricky business getting it to run stabely. It´s my second attempt at it. With the last build I had to revert to Home because of the lack of support for the tuner. Anyway, thought I should ask around first this time. Thanks

What card are you using? Have found both Terratec and Powercolour PCI express cards with 64bit drivers released. Unfortunately we´re not at the point where spec´s say "MP supported" yet.

i'm using the Fusion DVB-T plus card

Had an old Asus 7131 laying around for no good and just noticed ASUS released a 64bit driver about a week ago. I´ll try it for a start. Thanks for your input!

OMG! My Biostar M7NCD+AMD +3200 died about three weeks ago so I had to buy a new mainboard/processor.

MP RC4 was running like a dream before but after the system rebuild I could'nt even start MP at all! Uninstalled MP RC4, installed RC2 with same results! GRRRRRR!

See my signature for current system setup.
At any rate I'm going crazy trying to make MP work for me again!

If you use a VPN connection to your home network, you should be able to use the MP client to connect to your server natively instead of using MPExtended.

When I am trying to get some hardware or software to work and I am experiencing problems, my usual procedure is: simplify, simplify, simplify. That means avoid making choices that may not work; instead make the "standard" choice, which is often simply accepting the default. A static IP address is known to work with MP1. An address...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Brief update... Hauppauge support responded quickly, stating that the "driver for all of our product confirm to the BDA format". Not sure what that means, but to test that, I downloaded a copy of Capture4Me, and indeed, it switches LNBs without any issues with minimal configuration (just set DiSEqC to 1.x A/B/C/D and select the...
