    Cul8er,

Let me know if you need my .XML too, but to add some additional information which might help:

I am fairly sure that the following happened (it might be worth someone else trying it to see if it happened to them too as I could be wrong).

Prior to doing an x-factor re-install (to try the suggestion by Olli0815), I made a copy of my xfactor.xml and then deleted the xfactor directory, the cache and the dll files in the program files folder. I then did the reinstall of xfactor and the moving pictures add-on and then copied the backed up xfactor.xml into the documents and settings folder.

Initially when I ran mediaportal it all worked fine (without attempting to make any changes to the xfactor.xml. This seems to indicate that there is not a problem with the previously self generated xfactor.xml file. However, If I then generate a new basic home, then it stops working.

Does this make and sense? I have read this twice and I am fairly sure it says what I mean it to say.

    Rob

    Rob, Cul8er,

I just realized that the wrong generated xml contains a lot of controls related to the customized menu entries like "Aus1 - Aus13" (as I changed the entire “exit” to "Aus").
But what I really not can get is why the customized entries are still there even after deleting and re-install, so that I can't get rid off them.

    Best regards,
    Olli

    Edit:
So, I found the other xfactor xml-files under C:/settings bla, bla - after deleting them I got at least I clean menu editor.
So I did a re-installation and the problem is still there: as soon as you generate a new BasicHome.xml via menu editor the fan art stuff stops working (even without any changes within the menu editor). I did a test on another PC and the result was the same.
Is there any body out with a working BasicHome, after generating it via menu editor?

    Hi,

Thank you for your file. I have now found the bug. Will post a new version of the skin in a week that will include a bugfix for this. But I will also submit a patch in a day or so that will fix this problem. Again, thank you for your help.

    cheers

    Re : About the X-Factor Skin (R479)

    Hi cul8er,

3 problems prevent me to propose an entirely french interface for TVSerie :

    1) i must correct different headings directly in the xml files (see list)

    2) i need to change the header so that the accents can be taken into account
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> vers <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>

    3) and i can't change the title "Season" which appear on screen

    TVSeries.xml
    ligne: 522, 144, 260, 273, 284, 295, 306, 426, 442, 458, 509
    TVSeries.list .xm
    ligne: 185, 198, 210, 222, 234, 265, 326, 338, 350, 362, 441
    lTVSeries.list1
    ligne: 406, 419, 430, 441, 452, 482, 552, 564, 575, 586, 597, 681, 218, 231, 242, 253, 264, 294
    TVSeries.list2
    ligne:185, 198, 210, 222, 234, 265, 326, 338, 350, 362, 441
    TVSeries.Playlist
    ligne 163, 179, 195, 684

Thank you again for the wonderful work you have done.

First of all, this skin kicks ass, thanks for the work done!
I am just new to HTPC setup and for some reason after installing the right fonts (incl. reboot so Windows picks up the fonts) the menus still seem to have fonts that are too big and in the vertical menu the items seem to not fit the menu space. Am I missing something in the config?
