The editor is much easier to understand now I think for new users. Great choice with the tabs! Is it possible to have a small picture right under the "default menu" just with the Basic Home and huge numbers on top of each item? I think this would be of big help to "teh n00bs", but also a nice visual aid for advanced users Whenever I start using a new skin, I always use Notepad to list all the items I want, in the correct order.

Sorry for the delay. The reason is that the new version uses the fanart handler plugin and I have one last issue to fix (it is in test now). So hopefully a release is not that far away

WARNING FOR MP1.1Alpha or Beta users
The MP1.1Alpha and Beta contain a bug related to the Multiimage control. This makes the backdrop funtionality in x-factor fail. If you use MP1.1Alpha or Beta please in MP goto Settings and then xfactor. On the screen that is now displayed you have an option for using MP1.1 Alpha compatible animations. The error is now resolved and future releases of MP1.1 will work correctly.

One Question:

Is this issue fixed in the new SVN-versions? Or will it not be fixed untile the upcoming RC-Version?

X-Factor Skin (R547) is now available for download!

Hi,

After a very long time I have now released a new version of the x-factor skin. I have spent most of my sparetime on the fanart handler plugin so I haven't had much time skinning. But now finally the new version is available. The screenshot thread is updated with images of the new version.

Some news on the new version;
* A complete new basichome menu is available, called Images (now we have Images, Horizontal, Vertical, X-Factor and Aeon). See attached image below.
* Music section has been reworked so that browsing music, the playlist, music search, lyrics and now playing have more or less the same look and feel.
* Moving Picture and TVSeries has received some attention.
* Bug fixes
* Graphic improvements
* Navigation rework after your feedback on previous version.
* A new font is introduced
* The Menu Editor is redesigned and many bugs have been fixed.
* The skin now uses the fanart handler plugin in most sections for a much improved user experience.

Note on installation;
1. You need to clear the cache folder after installation of this version.
2. You need to download the fonts.rar (link) and install because this version uses a new font (and the old).
3. Please read the fanart handler user guide for information on setting up that plugin (link).
4. The installation file for the new version includes Moving Picture 0.7.5 files. If you use Moving Picture 1.0 Beta 3 (sometimes called Moving Picture 0.8) the after installing the new version you need to install the Beta 3 files available here.

Just a question, where the hell is the cache folder located under Windows 7? I tried the one in ProgramData-->TeamMediaPortal-->Mediaportal (which was almost empty to begin with, just a couple of empty folders inside), but it doesn't work, and since I installed the new Factor-X Mediaportal hungs at "copying graphics to cache". And this happens with any skin...
