this is everything i've wanted.

sadly it's not working for me. do i need a latest svn?

I get the missing or invalid basichome.xml error. and i can't find where the backups are going. they don't seem to exist.

Get the version I attached to the first post. I uploaded to the repository with a small bug that writes the XML twice. Alternatively, you can open up your generated basichome.xml and remove the duplicate data. Just search for "><?xml" and remove from the "<?xml" to the end.

The problem comes from changes I had to make after I realized that it wasn't working under XP (it was developed on Vista) and those changes broke the generation code. Best bet would be to just redownload from the first post so you won't have to do this in the future.

Backups are in your Aeon folder named Basichome.xml.backup.tickcount, meaning it will look something like this Basichome.xml.backup.633509828713956411.

I did download the new one just an hour ago....

I'm using vista. still can't find that basichome backup either.

i can't even install the original basichome.xml and have that work anymore. i'm going to have to reinstall the whole skin.

If you downloaded this file -> https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...215453305-aeon-menu-generator-aeon_editor.rar then you shouldn't be having problems. The one in the repository that is linked to in the first post has the bug, the one attached to the first post does not.

I can't imagine how you could still be having problems with the fixed version (not the one in the repository). The backups will be in your Aeon Wide folder right below Basichome.xml unless you didn't check the backup checkbox.

Try downloading the one I've linked to and see if the problem persists. If it does, attach your generated basichome.xml and I'll see what's happening.

I got her after downloading from that link. Still don't have any idea where backups are going, they aren't in my Aeon folder. But I don't even care.

Thank you so very much. I will be able to sleep tonight now.

Great, you had me losing confidence in whether I was even right about it :p. I'll look into the backup thing, perhaps there is a bug there.

OK, the fixed version is finally in the repository. Also, sorry to high/infinityloop/whoever approves those submissions for all the hassle.

Hi there carmenm, the menu font is Acens as used in aeon xbmc, and the other font seen on clock and now playing is Bell Gothic Bold BT, attached is my font.xml. do bear in mind though that the screenshot isnt aeonwide its my own port so font will overlap the clock background its an easy fix though..
