This is probably because your fonts.xml doesn't have a definition for font24 used by this BasicHome. Do you use the release 1.0 version? If not try the fonts.xml supplied in the 1.0 package.

Very true! I don't know how I installed Aeon 1.0 but I managed to get the wrong fonts.xml.
Now it works!

I've added support to reposition items in the list. This way you can first add all items you like and then order them the way you want. If you make a mistake, just remove the wrong item, add the new one and position as you like.

Is it just me or is the RSS slowing down things ? MediaPortal lasts ages to start, if you load BasicHome from another menu also lasts forever. Maybe it's because I'm using my Internet connection to download torrents and that slows down the whole connection, but I thought in such a case BasicHome would load without any RSS information... that would be displayed when it became available. But I suspect it waits untill there's some info from RSS to display, thus slowing BasicHome load. Am I right?

My MP also takes more time to load the basichome, but only 5 seconds longer than before RSS.
Its not a great time, and my MP is always opened, only a daily reboot at 5:00 am

Hi Sambal,

I spotted a problem with the fix you made that the "buttons" not overlap each other any more.
When I open mp its just fine see pic "openmp" also when i'm going back from tv its just fine,also when I exit from all the other menu's.
But when I then scroll to the left to go to settings it passes settings and shows up at the weather "after"

I also had to change the basichome.xml because the wrong buttons show up when i went back to the menu. "wrong"

Will it be possible to allow fewer entries before the GENERATE button becomes available?
I only want MUSIC and RADIO on my LISTEN menu.

I tried to duplicate it (Music, Radio, Music, Radio), but then the menu does not work.

Can you please send me the wrong BasicHome.xml so i can see what went wrong. I can't get it reproduced.

This was originally the case with jburnettes version. I changed it when introducing the crowding fix. Which obviously isn't necessary when there are only three items on screen. I'll look into it.

Hi, I tried the latest version of the menu generator just now. It was my first time using the app at all so I don't really know what to expect, but I'm guessing I did something wrong. I don't see a visual preview of the menu and if I press Generate after adding the items I want, I do get the menu in the correct order, but I can't see the menu. The fanart tells me the order is correct. What did I miss?

Did you add rss support yourself? Didn't look like the generated version. You can tick the checkbox at the bottom of the screen to generate rss support.

I copied the rss from a previous version because i change a few settings of it so it looks better.

with the new version its working only now is the left button not correctly in place.
