There are some skin engine fixes coming soon, so hopefully this will be resolved and i can revert some changes necessary to get Aeon menu to work.
I have kept these to my local machine, so svn should be unaffected.

Pain in the proverbial i know, but its on the todo list for RC4 release, so good news there then

Based on the posts above, the problem is with a recent MP SVN. Personally, I'm using RC3 with one of the earlier SVNs without the flicker problem.

Yeah probably.. I'm on a pretty recent one, after spuck told me it worked perfectly I need it for some other stuff so I'm stuck with the error for now, good thing I know a little xml so I can make me a work-around =)

At first let me say thank you for this skin for MP !! I use Aeon or HorizonIII mod on my XBOX1 with XBMC a long time und must say: the best Skin !

I try out MP these days and it´s running realy good on my system, only the basic Skin for me is "boring". But what a happy coincidence i found Aeon for MP

Installing the skin, starting MP an unhappily i see e blank screen

When i press LiveTV on my MCE Remote i see this:

Why i don´t see the Mainscreen or all the other screens ? When i start MP (Version is 1.0.0.0 RC3) i get the message that the skin ist outdatet, i must click "try it out" then MP starts.

I hope someone could help me, so that i can user Aeon as skin

I think you need the enable "start with basic home screen" in the generals tab in MediaPortal Configuration.

However, I have a different problem. The home screen for the tv section is not showing the skin (see screenshot)

All the other screens look fine (Allthough I needed to replace the .xml for "weather" and "plugins" as descriped earlier in this thread).

I had the same problems as you experience now, it was realy hard to find the solutions. Because the skin is so beautiful, it is easily worth the efforts. But it would be better if the documentation of the skin was a little better organised and not so seperated through the whole forum.

Yes you are right it´s not easy to find, but it´s worth to get this cool skin running.

Hi, I'm trying to make a list of what what skins are still up to date and just wanted to know if Aeon Alpha is anything but a forefather to the Aeon Wide.

Is Aeon Alpha under any development separate from the Aeon Wide these days?
