Well I could but I think this won't help you the tiniest little bit. I use MovieCollector (not ANT!) for MyFilms, so that's a whole different ballgame, wrote some scripts to get the films right in MyFilms plugin.
If you're using my (PHP)scripts in combination with MovieCollector that could be the cause. I just tested them on my system and haven't had any feedback from other users....

The settings of MyFilms are primarily just used for importing stuff (I believe). I think there's something wrong / weird in the xml you are trying to import into myfilms. You could try something like http://www.w3.org/2001/03/webdata/xsv to check if the XML is valid but it might take a while to upload. Than again it might showup as valid XML but there could be an issue in MyFilms with the handling of some characters for example

Your problem starts after importing? At least that's how it seems to me

Btw you're posting this in the Aeon wide forum thread but the problem is related to MyFilms and (probably) has nothing to do with this skin. Might be a good idea to post something in the right thread (the MyFilms thread)

So it crashes if you use my files but it doesn't with the provided skin of aeon wide default package? A little more details of your problem would be nice. Even though I'm no C# or plugin expert the info you're giving now is just to scarce to make any conclusion.
I / you could compare the default skin file with my currentfiles to see which labels are different. Remove the labels from my files which are not present in the default skin file and see if the problem still arises. If not there's some issue with the handling of that label for some reason.

Well it works great with the standard Eaon files and the standard Media-Portal blue skin.
I can post the crash file if it's helpfull. I atached it to this post.
I could post this in the My Film section, but because it works good with the other skins and just not Aeon I belive it's better to place it here.



I don't want to jump to conclusions, it's just frustrating I've been bussy this whole Sunday

Looks like you're missing stuff in the dictionary. Don't know too much about this but it's used for internatiolization (support for multiple languages). Which language do you use in MP?

On second thought that could be a translation for "Dictionary" which is some kind of helper class in .Net I believe.

You could try this:
Put the file attached (that is if your using english) in the language dir of mediaportal. Backup your current file first, because this might screw something else over.
Again I'm no MP expert and do not know too much bout C# so this is just a guess on my part.

Probably won't do you any good since all the other files seem to work ok... I'll take a look at the xml

Didn't find any labels that didn't match, so that's not it either I guess... I still do think that a post with your log in the MyFilms will help you out more because the dev of the plugin can pinpoint the exact place where things go wrong...

If I were you I would just take the files that work and adjust them myself so it fits in with Aeon Wide. The XML skinning really isn't that hard if you do just basic stuff... But that's up to you, if it were me it would be way faster then looking for a solution all day.

Djang could wait till the final release of that plugin (which probably has the same functionality as MyFilms?) or wait till there are skin files available.

Nope not the same just checked it out. It's not gonna be able to import movies from collection software like MC and ANT. But looks like a really good tool

Yep, if all goes as fforde plans, it will be to movies, what TVSeries is for tv, very little user interaction with auto updating of new files added.

ps. have moved your post about myfilms aeon skin issue, as it must be related to skin not plugin, have not got a clue why, but my MP install has stopped recording TV, so i'm trying to sort that out atm.

Know PR's busy trying to sort out Moving Pictures plugin graphics, so he's pretty tied up.

Heres the gradient along with a preview file.. If you end up not using the blackness, Im making a mod off of your xml's when you upload them
