I also had problems with my new Intel based mainboard in combination with my AV-Recevier VSX-S510. When turning off the AVR, it uses pass-through to the TV. When turning it back on, Windows had issues to select the AVR device again.

But after installation of latest Intel chipset beta drivers the issue didn't appear again.

So I think that Windows and drivers can have a big impact on such kind of problems.

Yamaha Handshake issue since ages. For my HTPC i've bought such an Dr HDMI HDFury, but only for testing one more it is too expensive.

It seems as if I had a lot of luck. My VSX-529 has no handshake issues. I can turn it on and off as often as I like and Windows (first 7 and now 10) always find the proper device. I even can turn it on while MP2 client is running. The screen goes black for 1 or 2 seconds while switching and then all is working again, video and audio...

It works also nearly every time, only sometimes I get now screen resize issues as other users reported before. When this happens the MP2 window is either at 1024x768 and can't be controlled per mouse anymore, or the Window is back to 1920x1080 and has broken texture positions.

    @morpheus_xx
Big Thanks. After install of new .inf drivers the HDMI handshake issue seems to be resolved. This is really great.

    Unfortunately cheered too soon.

    Hi,
have done a complete uninstall and new install of MP2. Unfortunately now audio playback / WASAPI fails completely. This log entry ->

    Code:
[2017-01-09 15:49:41,906] [63939 ] [BassPlay ] [INFO ] - BassLibrary: BASS: WASAPI exclusive mode not directly supported for samplerate of 44100 and 2 channels
    is complete nonsense.
I wonder why in player configuration there are double anf triple entrys?

    Logs are attached.

Had similar issue as well. When you open your device manager in Windows and enable "show hidden devices" (German: Ansicht -> Ausgeblendete Geräte anzeigen) you will find some of them.

I think the dialog needs a filter to show only currently available devices? Is there a need to show and select (temporary) non-available devices as well?

This is my debug logging for device enumeration:

The bold lines are the "valid" entries that I leave in the list after my change:

Here it is. Needs to be placed under MP2-Client\Plugins\BassPlayer.

Please enable DEBUG log for checking the used/skipped devices and please post your results :)
