Hi

The screen grabs you show are for satellite, is the cable connected correctly and do you know that it works ?

Next have you selected the satellite you want to scan in the LNB setup page ?

Cheers

Hmmm thinking about the problems I have had in the past. Is progdvb running as a service ? Or running in the background ? If it is then it may have taken ownership of the card/cards. Try to close them down and make sure they don't start themselves on reboot. Then reboot and try again

Rgds

I saw in forum that i shall put a kind of a log file. that could Help? where can i get it?

Look in

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log for the server log files.
Open them up with notepad and look for the time that you tried to run the scan. Use the error text to search the forum generally you will find the comment. Does the analog card scan properly ?

Yes you are right, i found the Log files, but i didn't undestand anything... for my card; is external card connected to the pc by usb. there is a S-video entry on this card recognized as analog card by media portal...
I attached the log files if that can help!!!!!:(

Ok I've looked at the log. Although Mediaportal is seeing the cards its not seeing any signal from the sat dish.

Some Ideas

1. Have you tried the Videomate software ? If you can get that to work then Media portal should work.
2. You have selected the wrong satellite so it can't get a signal.

Here is the problem bit from your log file

0 [9]: subch:0 Graph already running - skip WaitForPMT
2009-10-14 19:14:29.791380 [9]: dvb: RunGraph

2009-10-14 19:14:33.360380 [9]: dvb: LockedInOnSignal waiting 20ms
2009-10-14 19:14:33.389380 [9]: dvb: LockedInOnSignal waiting 20ms
2009-10-14 19:14:35.302380 [9]: dvb: LockedInOnSignal could not lock onto channel - no signal or bad signal

So somewhere in the configuration of your machine no satellite signal is getting to the scanner

Cheers

Keith
