For me also the same - I have disabled "All channels" group, but have other groups with more then 30-50 items.
Sometimes it goes right (especially on wifi) and almost everytime crashes on 3G.

Try disabling the "show all channels group" option. It caused a few crashes for me too.

Thanks for the tip. It helped... kinda. I didn't have another group, so I created one named "Digital" in the tv server configuration. Here I added all 57 channels from the "show all channels group". Then I deselected the option in the AMPdroid as you suggested, so the "Digital" group was loaded. Then i minimized the "Digital" group to consists of 5 channels, and I could now both see the EPG and the channel list. I added 5 more, still good, added 10 (now 20 channels) still good, and finally added another 10 (total of 30 channels in the group) and the problem arose once again. So the issue might be related to number of channels or one of the last 10 channels I added the last time. I look deepter into the cause tomorrow.

I can't reproduce this unfortunately, I can successfully load my all channels group with >1000 channels.

Do i need to un-install GMAWebservices? I can connect the remote-section, but as for the other media i cannot connect service. Yes, i have installed MPExtended (does MPextended need any extra configuration?)

Remotesection is working (looks cool, but maybe you could position the HOME button at the same height level between the back and info button?)
Also maybe it is recommended for better/faster control-use to add a few more controlbuttons to the mainscreen of the remotesection (stop/pause rewind/forward) instead of having to pull-up the screen beneath it.

But hey, that's only a personal thing, donno if others agree with that..

Hey guys finally solved the problem, I can now access media. I just manually opened port 4322

Try doing this:

Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type firewall, and then click Windows Firewall.

In the left pane, click Advanced settings. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

In the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security dialog box, in the left pane, click Inbound Rules, and then, in the right pane, click New Rule.

Follow the instructions in the New Inbound Rule wizard.

thx for the great app.
on my htc desire hd it works very well.

on a china android tablet and on a galaxy s2 i get the "media not found error" when streaming a tv series or a movie.

also i hav found a bug in the menu where i can see the status of tv cards. i can't nothing see there when streaming something.

I can't get the wifi remote to connect, and I'm using the latest version. Does the authentication have to be the same as in MP Extended for the remote to work? I managed to stream a movie and got a second and the stream crashed and it asked me to restart. Oh yeah, and it crashes every time. The app crashes sometimes too.

The remote would connect with 0.8 but the streaming problem is the same, and this is only since I have upgraded to the stock Android 4.0.3 on my Nexus S. If you need help debugging on ICS I'd be happy to help you test, I just don't know how to collect logs from the android application itself. The best option I have found for my phone so far is the transcode less option provided by BSPlayer lite, which can stream from SMB shares. If your internal player supported more codecs it could do it without transcoding and losing quality on LAN, and have the option of transcoding over WAN.

That's a lot harder then you put it here. For a lot of containers (at least mkv and avi) the player needs random access to the file, which doesn't work well with the webservice based approach we use.

Yes i can confirm that Ampdroid on Android 4.0.3 works not very smooth. There are a lot of mistakes. I have phone with Android 2.3.5 and it works smoother with not so much mistakes !

Thanks a lot for this new version of a great app.
I just wanted to report a bug with wrong posters, (I don´t know if this bug is I aMPdroid or MPextended).

Bug: If I select poster-view in movies and video, I get wrong “covers” posters on a lot of my movies.
If I select Thumbs-view they are all correct.
