If it were for me I'd have had 0.8 out of the door for a while now, but getting the streaming backend up and running is a b***.

Hi,
I can't remote control my MePo by using aMPdroid (can't connect). I can however use epg services etc.. so it seems that the tv4home service is working fine.
I've checked the gmawebservice by using the urls, that seems fine as well.
But I can't connect using the wifiremote demo client on the MePo machine (single machine hosts both MePo and tv4home).
I'm using MePo 1.1.3 do I have to upgrade MePo 1.2 beta to get the remote functions working on aMPdroid ?

All testers and translators should have received a mail by now with a preview version of 0.8 (If not, contact me with your email address).
You need to install WifiRemote for that.

I've upgraded to MePo 1.2 beta today and upgraded WifiRemote as well.
Still not able to connect.
I've turned off my firewall and tried with WifiRemote Demo Client from another machine, it says disconnected very quick.
After that I tried with the firewall on, it takes about 15 seconds before it says disconnected (I tried on ip and on hostname).
WifiRemote is configured with the default port (8017) and does not require authentication is that correct.
