Why is streaming TV available but not music? In my mind, streaming music should be easier, no?

Ok? I never claimed that it is easy. Just that streaming music/audio seems easier than streaming audio and video.

The sole reason for that is that I'm not very interested in it.

It's planned for next release though.

On a side note has any of the stuff you install for this ever reported for messing up mp? Currently my tv series plugin no longer works and the controls are all wonky like i have to hit plugins twice to actually open plugins and then tv series twice to open that plus clicking to the right no longer brings up the menu to close or shutdown.... Lol so many problems might need to format the whole thing and give up on this one

Which version of MP, TV Series and WifiRemote do you use? Also please post your MediaPortal and GMA (they're in C:\ProgramData\GmaWebService) logs.

Wow, this plugin / app is awesome. I have one problem thou, Remote works perfectly and i can browse my series and movies, but i cant stream/download them. I have all my media on a mapped network share "z:\media\blablalba\". The app/plugin does not seem to find them, i tried to make a local folder with some videos and that worked.

any suggestions?

edit:

go to services (start -> run -> services.msc)
find GmaWebservice
right-click -> properties
Log On Tab
and then select "This account" and enter the username/password of your account (the one that has access to your media files)


ofcourse i tried this. And i use the same user/pass on local machine and the network share.

Doing that and then restarting GmaWebService should work. If not, can you please post your logfile?

Then it still runs under a user that doesn't have access to the share. Are you sure you filled in the correct credentials and restarted the service? Also, is Y: a permanent mapping?
