That is supposed to work. But wake-on-lan does, like the name says, not work over a WAN. So you need your HTPC to be turned on beforehand.
I have a singleseat installation and I installed aMPDroid a few days ago. I get access to my htpc via WLAN. That's working now. But I do not get access to my htpc via WAN. Can someone tell me the configuration in aMPDroid for WAN:
e.g. my domain is "myhtpc.homeip.net" at dyndns what do I have to write down in the section "Hostname or IP Adress".
In field MAC adress I write down my MAC adress. Right?
The port is 4321. Right?
What port do I have to forward in my router and what protocol do I have to use? AT the moment I forward port 4321 and protocol ist TCP. Is this right?
You see need a little help.

Ah, forgot to quote, was indeed a reply to your problem If your wakeup over WAN does work then it should work indeed.Hi Oxan,
is your comment related to my thread?
I wake up my htpc via WAN with an android app called "WOL" from bubble.
So you mean all my settings are right?

That should be 4321 and 8017, 8080 is not used by anything aMPdroid-related.On my router I forwarded ports 8080 8017 to the ip of my htpc.
Can you try to disable the password in WifiRemote and also disable authentication in aMPdroid? When I try and connect with aMPdroid it says remote cant connect and when I click on videos or anything nothing happens. Which I dont get cause it seems like the gmaservice is working.
If you're not too paranoid you don't have to change that, just enter the same in the aMPdroid configuration. Also I noticed somewhere it was saying in the config file for the gmaservice there is a username and password thats set to admin/admin am I suppose to change that to something specific or what does that control.
