In general: If you still have any problems apart from these for which I've said they will be fixed in next GMA and these below; please post again. There are a lot of posts here and it gets quite messy here.
    - Starting a DVD for playback from aMPdroid doesn't work
    - Streaming to the Galaxy-series and some other phones doesn't work. Still no progress, sorry.
    - Starting playback of a movie when LiveTV is running causes problems
    - Occasionally there is a force close when returning to the app after hitting the home button.
    - Things get weird when the device time is wrong
    - Songs should be ordered by track number

Also; if you experience connection issues, please do this:
    - Post what you've entered in the configuration of aMPdroid (especially IP addresses, ports, usernames and authentication checkboxes)
    - If possible, create a log with an app such as alogcat and post that
    - If related to the remote control: post your MediaPortal log files (especially MediaPortal.log and error.log)
    - If related to media browsing: follow the troubleshooting guide on the wiki and, if it's still not working, post your GmaWebService.log
    - Try disabling autoreconnect. It causes problems sometimes.

    Regarding development status:
    - TV4Home, GmaWebService and MPWebStream have been merged into a single new project, MPExtended. Under this name we've continued development of the services, and are also developing some other applications; mainly WebMediaPortal. As for example also Shukuyen is currently implementing support in CouchPotato, I've been focusing a bit more on support instead of new features.
    - Also I've tried to get streaming working with GMA for the Galaxy-series, but this turned out to be very hard. While I've some hopes that I will fix it one day, don't expect very much soon. In MPExtended the whole streaming part is rewritten and based upon VLC instead of ffmpeg, which seems to be working a bit better, but it isn't very heavily tested and it can break down too.
    - DieBagger has been quite busy lately, which is the main reason why there isn't any news on new aMPdroid development. As I don't have very much experience with Android development, I'll leave that to him. Development will continue, just not at the pace it used to be.

As for GMA, I might do an 0.3.2 release soon with all fixes I promised. Originally I wanted to also include a fix for the streaming, but apparantly that fix doesn't work.

Btw, does any of you use it with MP 1.2? It should work but I haven't tested it.

    GmaWebservice
    http://localhost:4321/GmaWebService/...iceDescription
on the machine, which should return something like:
    - LOCALHOST WORKS FINE FROM THE PC WHERE SERVICE ARE RUNNING
    - THOUGH FROM MY PAD IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL WHEN CHANGING LOCALHOST TO FIXED IP OF SERVER - JUST GET "WEB PAGE NOT AVAILABLE"
THIS DOES NOT WORK FROM TABLET
    http://192.168.1.9:4321/GmaWebService/MediaAccessService/json/GetServiceDescription
Then this is your problem. Are you sure you are on the same network (wifi) with your tablet? Does it work from another computer?

NOT OK LOCAL - UNABLE TO OPEN THE INTERNET SITE •Music Albums: http://localhost:4321/GmaWebService/...sort=0&order=0
NOT OK LOCAL - UNABLE TO OPEN THE INTERNET SITE •Music Artists: http://localhost:4321/GmaWebService/...sort=0&order=0
Could you post the full links that don't work?

I am having a problem on windows 7 64bit. If Mediaportal is running I can't access anything that gma provides. however if mediaportal shutdown I could stream and browse all my media. seems like a permission issue?
That's interesting and shouldn't happen (except from a small bug that sometimes happen with MPTvSeries, but our patch didn't make it into MP1.2). Can you post your GmaWebService and MediaPortal logs?

Hello is a search function planned, in the next time ? Because I have 10.000 songs in my Library and it is very difficult to find the song you will be listen. All the others is very good, but the Music Section must be better. It would be great if we can get an Status update, about the features that will came with a new version.
Not yet in development. On what do you want to search (album, title, artist)?

Yes I am at the same wifi (same AP - same subnet - fixed IP) - I can access my NAS admin interface for example.
But I havent entered the workgroup - I havent found where to do that and maybe it is not possible since it is not windows? Cant find anything on google when searching for galaxy tab and workgroup
Havent tried from another PC than localhost on the same pc where the server is.

It is the links from the troubleshooting page @ Troubleshooting - MediaPortal Wiki
Links not working with admin/admin below (I dont even get a chance to enter user&pass, but the download dialog pops up but the error comes at once so it never starts downloading the file):
    http://localhost:4321/GmaWebService/MediaAccessService/json/GetAllAlbums?sort=0&order=0
    http://localhost:4321/GmaWebService/MediaAccessService/json/GetAllArtists?sort=0&order=0
    See picture for error prompt

I'm having some strange problems too. I have been able to get the remote to work just fine (mostly) and gotten ampdroid to see the database files for all of my media, but it still won't play. I see a bunch of 0k files. I saw in the troubleshooting section that I need to change the user/password to an account that can access my files, but that shouldn't be necessary in my case. All of my media is stored on a Windows Server in the basement that does NOT have MP installed. All of the media is in a publicly shared folder so that each of our 4 HTPCs can read it easily. None of the HTPCs have any issue getting to the data, including the computer I'm currently setting up ampdroid on, but I can't seem to get any of my server files to stream or download at all. Any suggestions?

My instances of ampdroid, wifiremote, mediaportal, and gmawebservice are all as up to date as possible.

    Thanks in advance.

That clearly says that GMA cannot access the files, you need to change the username that GMA runs under in services, otherwise it will never work for you. The reason it work manually and that MP can access the files is that MP runs under currently logged in user, and GMA service does not, that runs under the local system account, and cant get access to stuff outside it's own box as long as you don't change to a user that access to the server.

This sounds very much like an issue with your firewall or antivir software... Try to disable all personal firewalls/virus scanners to see if those are blocking access. Btw, can you access other services on that pc from your tablet? (e.g. webserver, other android remote apps, ...)

I've attempted to do that, but I get an error when I restart the service after changing the user settings: Windows could not start the GmaWebService on Local Computer. Error 1069: The service did not start due to a logon failure.

I'm not sure, but i think you typed in the username directly? Use browse and type it in there, and use the user you log into windows with. I'm not at home atm, so i cant check, but if i remember correctly, the user have to a password for it to work, but as i said not sure about that. When you close the dialog for user, there should come popup a box telling you that the user have been granted the right to logon as a service.

You're correct that the user must have a password. This was part of my problem, I'd recently removed my password for troubleshooting an unrelated issue. However, I did NOT see any popup dialog box, but the service now successfully starts. It still does NOT allow ampdroid to stream my files. They still show up as 0k files.

Also, the username must have administrative rights (because self-hosted wcf services require admin rights unfortunately).
