[Android] aMPdroid 0.8 - Streaming and more (3 Viewers)

Hi, I am running my MPserver on a normal Win7 32b. Do I have to change the OS to Windows Home Server to be able to install TV4Home and stream live tv to my HTC android telefon? Does ampdroid work with android 10" tablets (does it scale up the screen to fit the 10inch)?

Hi Oxan. In answer to your questions :

1 - it just turns off the screen. I found too many issues when I tried using "real suspend".
2 - Yep - "show all groups" is checked. I have 5 groups and a total of around 20 channels.
3 - Running Windows XP Pro with just the built-in windows firewall
4 - There's no program data folder (being XP). I'll check "all users" appdata folder and see if it's there.

No, you just need the Core Service and that also runs on a normal Windows 7 installation. Not sure about the tablets, but it should at least work.

Hi again, tried installing on my HTC android version 2.2, not able to install server part. aMPdroid only asks for client.
Any suggestions?

Me neither unfortunately...

Have you tried to install antother remote control software (e.g. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.Relmtech.Remote) and access it from your pad.

Also, please post the output of "ipconfig /all" (command line) from your server...

I have an ASUS Transformer and always the error unknown media at streaming. When I stream rtsp with Mobo Player the stream starts and ends after seconds

Ok, I have some progress here. One big "oops" is that I have 2 wireless networks, one inside my firewall (and therefore on the same LAN as the MP machine) and one outside the firewall (for customer machines which may be infected). I found it works much more reliably if it's connected to the correct network!!!

1 - Now solved and working nicely.
2 - Now I can connect ampdroid to the TV server. When I connect to the server and hit the "tv" icon on the start page, it connects and gives me a list of options (EPG, manual control, channels etc).
2a - The EPG comes up blank. I can click "next" and "previous" but they don't do anything.
2b - I can browse my recordings but can't play them (none of the options actually respond when pressed).
2c - When I browse channels it shows me the correct channels but I can't figure out what I need to do to stream them.
2d - When I select Manual Control I see buttons for "start timeshift" and "start recording" plus two dropdowns - one "all channels" and the other has nothing showing in it. When I click the blank dropdown I get a white rectangle across the screen and the only active control is the physical "home" button on the tablet - the screen is completely unresponsive. "Start timeshift" and "start recording" report "not implemented".
3 - In Video mode I see a list of my shares. When I select a video, I get a menu. Sometimes ampdroid crashes about a second later (before I push anything - presumably the preview generation is broken), other times it gives me the chance to play the video but when playback starts it goes nowhere. Pushing the physical "home" button at this point crashed ampdroid.
4 - after disconnecting, ampdroid often won't reconnect until I reboot the tablet.
5 - in Music, I can connect and browse however the only options I see are "play on PC" and "download". There seems to be no option to stream music.
6 - "photos" reports "not implemented yet" but "settings" does not even though it doesn't do anything.

Hello,

I am trying to get this to work to stream to my android phone and I just cant figure it out.

In my phone whenever I hit the media image it sais invalid login or password, and I have tried them all.
Can someone explain to me exactly how to do this setup because I have read all the info on it and nothing is working.

On my phone under client authentication I have matched that info with my computer login and password however it is still not working.

Can someone please help me figure this out?
