I've got it all to work. (With a little help from Cygermage's post

Both the IR with the MCE-remote and the display in MediaPortal.
Thanks anyway Spragleknas.

1. Uninstall Antec's VFD program and drivers.
2. Download Soundgraph iMon 6.01.0122 from here
3. Install the program without the iMEDIAN program (or with if you like it) and let it update to the last version.
4. Close the program in systray if it starts
5. Extract my attached file and run iMONPatch.exe (this will allow you to run the iMON software on a Antec case.
6. Reboot
7. Start iMON Manager
8. Go to iMON Utilities and select FrontView "run FrontView When iMON Starts" = Never
9. Go to Settings and select MCE Remote (and press Apply)
10. From now on you can go to the Program Command (in settings) and map MediaPortals keyboard shortcuts or extract the supplied MCE remote.zip to your Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\Setup\ (MCE remote). (Note: Not all buttons are mapped, but you get the picture)
11. To enable the VFD in MediaPortal start MediaPortal Setup.
12. Go to the plugins Right Click on the External Display module and select Disable (this will actually enable it).
13. Right click again and select Configuration.
14. Select the SoundGraph iMon USB Driver V1.0, Port = USB. Leave the rest as it is.
15. Powerdown your computer and disconnect the power for a minute. (to clear the clock in the display)
16. Start up and all will work :) (Hopefully)

I bought a Silver Antec 430 (with VFD and knob), plus a MS MCE remote.

Following these commands, I managed to get things working - and also managed to add some missing controls, such as making the back button trigger ESC and go back through the menus, plus making info show the context menu.

I didn't need the patch.

I didn't need to enable/disable the external display.

Only downside is, the remote seems to be a little 'weak'. Sometimes key presses dont do much :)

I have a Silver Antec 430 as well and got the VFD working using the latest iMON 7.2 drivers. Didn't have to do any patching. Only problem I have is my IR doesn't seem to be working. Are there separate drivers for that? In iMON manager the MCE remote option is greyed out for me as if the device doesn't even exist! Any ideas?

I my setup it is also greyed out but it works though! Just add Mediaportal to the program and map your keys.

btw I start thinking that this iMon stuff is quite nice because it can handle several Ir RC mappings to several applications at the same time: like Mediaportal and than switch to PowerDVD (for bluray playback, with the hdplayer plugin) and back seamlessly with the same remote!

I have a black V2 with IR sensor built-in. WinXP, MP RC1, MS MCE remote (without the red, blue, green, yellow buttons, for some reason) that came with a USB IR receiver and two 'blasters.'

Selecting the MCE remote in the MP config got the remote working fine with the MS USB IR receiver, but the built-in Antec IR receiver would cause double registers on certain remote keys (like scrolling and volume adjustment) but using just that IR receiver didn't work for all the keys (with the MS USB IR receiver unplugged) so I just opened the front of the panel (not difficult) and blinded the Antec IR eye. Now my remote works perfectly.

The Antec display is quite useless for me but it displays an EQ and volume info.

Can you use with iso´s ??? how you select a iso???
    thanks

You can install Daemon Tool and set it up in Mediaportal, then you can watch DVDs from an .iso file. I tried this before and it worked well. You don´t need powerDVD for this (but you can if you want, then you don´t need MP). But with .iso images of a bluray, I do not think it would work. But I don´t know for sure, never tried.

I am going to buy an Antec Remote Fusion. It seems like there are differences between the black and silver edition, other than the colour (display, IR etc). Which one would you recommend?

Silver. The VFD on the silver one is a lot nicer than the LCD on the black one. The VFD makes the case look like a regular home theater component. The LCD makes it look like a gimmick.

Thanks, then I'll probably go for the Silver one. Another question; will the optical drive be hidden behind the door, so it doesn't matter how it looks?
