Note however, that this comes up (under Properties) as version 1.7.0 (same as what I had), not 1.7.2.

If you run it in a dos box it shows up as ver 1.7.2

Possibly an easier way to do this is to simply create a new folder on your PC and put a copy of the zip file in there. Then double click on the zip file and because there is no .dat file you should get 2 new windows appear. One is the DOS box where the first line shows the version no. etc,
