I'm not exactly sure of what I'm missing by turning off this infamous FlipY parameter, but I don't want to go down the Nvidia road since I've a whole bunch of media connectors from my 690G equipped mobo.
I must say that I'm very pleased with MP so far, I really wish all the developers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I'm sure you all do your best to sort out all kind of bugs, keep the good work up!

Updated my ticket with ATI as well. INcluded link to RTV's code reference ... (Thanks RTV).

Also included the information that can only get 25HZ at 1920x1080.

lets see what happens next year.

PS...HO HO HO merry christmas everyone....:)

Is this just a XP problem? Will Vista work ok?

I do believe that Vista Users do not have any problems with FLIPY reflections lockups.

Today I tried MP (xFace Skin) with Vista and the reflections worked without an error. But i tested it for only 5minutes.
Tomorrow, if I have time, I'll have a closer look.

btw: I have a 690G/x1250 chipset too. (Asus M2A-VM HDMI)

EDIT (02.01.2008): No problems with MediaPortal & VISTA.

CCC 7.12 does not work either

For all who want to test latest CCC 7.12 - same problem here as before with a clean install of XP SP2 + MP + latest SVN...

@ rest: Info from rtv has been forwarded to Cat.-team by whoever handled my ATi-ticket.

Ok, I am happy I am not the only one having this filmstrip freeze problem..I have a abit fatal1ty I90HD with ATIxpress1250 onboard, HDMI out. 4Gb DDR2 256Mb designated for the ATI xpress1250. Core Duo E6600 CPU

    Latest ATI drivers (7.12)
    Lates NETframework 3.5 (included 2.0 and 1.0)

But to be honest I think this is not an ATI problem but a Mediaportal problem. I have other games running just fine with the new drivers, set everything to the max and runs smoothly. they seem to be much more complicated than these fairly simple MP skins. Also HD movies running with windows media player 11 or Powerdvd7.3 run nice and smooth.

It's ONLY mediaportal that f***s up using direct X 3D (checked error log and is the same all the time as posted before on this thread.. ONLY DirectX.Direct3D causes errors, nothing else!) When running DXdiag diagnostic, direct X cannot find any issues, the X cube spins nice and smooth in all modes, which learns me the ATI can hande directx just fine.. it is Mediaportal that needs fixing handling directX.direct3D correctly.

    My 2cents,

    Lots
