When I have the 3 filters in filter construct, tunning works only if I remove the following line:

    <connection sourcefilter="capture" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="videncoder" sinkpin="0"/>

When attaching to the graph, I see the following:
    - Without the above line, the capture filter is there and conneted in its input pin but without output. The video encoder is missing.
    - With the above line, the capture filter isn't there at all. The video encoder is also missing of course.
Isn't it strange that a connection in output pin influences the presence of a filter?

I will take some sleep now, it is the middle of the night. Thanks for your patients. I will probably continue trying tomorrow.

    In device manager.

Check the driver details of all the ATI WDM drivers .

Are all the drivers 6.14.10.6325 release.

Do you have the ATI WDM Rage Theater Video NSP ? (THIS IS VITAL)

HENCE From your LOG if the pins aren't connecting then you have the wrong driver installed and you will have to manual update and foce the 6.14.10.6325 drivers to instal.

Indeed not all of them are this release. When I tried to change all of them, my computer got crazy. It constantly rebooted right after windows was loaded.
Do you know of paticular drivers that should have the same release or must it be them all?
The TV feature of Showshifter & ATI MMC does work with this configuration. Does it mean anything?

    No good.
My drivers are 6.14.10.6246 (though the last catalist is installed, I think).
I tried replacing them all with 6.14.10.6325. I did it excluding 2:

ATI WDM TV Tuner - when changing to 6325, trying to watch TV on MP or ShowShifter, maked the computer reboot.
ATI WDM TV Crossbar - when changing to 6325, device manager shows this device is not functioning.

If the drivers 6.14.10.6325 WDM-NSP can't instal then you may have to give-up.

I don't have your specific card to test myself and it may be down to the hardware specs.

So this means there is NO way of getting the correct MPEG stream output to use in MP.

I managed to make it more or less work with the trial version of InterVideo.

Looks to me that "ATI Media Center Video Encoder" does not work. Playing with graph edit it looks like it simply does not want to connect to anything in its input nor in its output.
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't "ATI Media Center Video Encoder" supposed to be software mpeg2 encoder? Maybe it does depend on the hardware afterall?

Can you post a pic of graphedit with all the filters (those listed in the filter graph construuct from the xml) showing , there is no need to connect the graph .

Gladly. I just hope I can reproduce the same state. I had to change everything back because the HTPC is used by my family on daily basis. (Currently using a ShowShifter and combination of other software, and the changes in drivers caused problems).
Which graph do you mean? With InterVideo or the non functioning one with Media Center?

Just as long as the NSP drivers are installed and the filters that are listed in the xml MP graph construct are visible (you could just insert the filters in to a fresh graphedit.)
