ATI Rem. Wonder II weird default mapping (3 Viewers)

So, now there is two of the same plugins, only TheBuru added some more buttons.
Great, I couldn't use ATi button before! Do I need to change the .dll for these new ones to work?

So you dont have to change the dll any more.
Ive added them to the ini file.
tommorow i will add all the other buttons, too ( book for romte wonder, tv2 and guide for the remotewonder plus ).
And I will restructure the ini fle a little bit.

it is not working .... well until someone who really managed to get the remotewonder to work without the ati software will tell me exactly what he did, i will use the ati plugin...

Since im not using the tv plugin, its not that bad... I have all the buttons i need.

I'm not sure, but i remember having read somewhere that the remotewonder 2 is not compaible to the x10net drivers ( though it HAS them in the install directory..)

I've added all the aviable buttons ( mentioned in the sdk) for all remotes 1,2 and plus.

would you please check out if they are working with your remote?
Cause I've got only the RW2...
And tell me if the new ini is understandable.
And do you have an FM button on your remote?!

TheBuru: Thanks for the update! I have RW II as well.
I can confirm the ATi button function, with AUX button, not PC. I think driver version 3 is a must for ATi, I didn't get it running on 2.5 on my first try anyway.

The MyKeys is optional, it is only required for jumping directly to My movies, My music and so on.

I have now added these updates several times, and nothing happens .. Still got same mapping as before.. (no change) This is what I`ve done:

copied the MyKeys Plugin to mediaportal plugin dir. and activated it in mediaportal setup

Disabled and removed my old plugin in the ati remote sw (3.04)

Installed the new, the latest "all buttons" one from the examples archive provided by TheBuru March 24 (also copied the keymap xml to mediaportal directory)

and now I`ve got the same buttons av I`ve had for the last 6 months..

Do I need to do something more in mediaportal setup ?? (the remote section) ? x10?

you should not need anything else!

but what's NOT working.
( somehow I cant figure out what you want to say... maybe because its sunday...)

first of all!
you need to add the plugin AND the INI file ( the on I added... hakunas one does NOT WORK with my plugin!!!!) into the plugin folder of ati remotewonder software.
then you have to find out if your remote is working right.

the plugin has a build-in teststring.

in the ini go and find:

mode=enable

change it to
mode=test.

save the ini, REMOVE THE PLUGIN , CLOSE ATI SOFTWARE and start it again and select the plugin again.
( or it will not load the ini file)

now..
ALL the extra buttons will NOT work until you use one of the AUX buttons.

if you use the PC button the can' be mapped!!!!!
after starting the software, open a new text document, and push the buttons!!!!


and you will see something written!!!!
test it.
after that.
write if all the buttons are working.
if not, there is sth wrong with the software or your remote!!!!!

after that I will try to help you with mediaportal.

I have an issue, the ABCDE-buttons only work with PC button, then the other don't work. If I swtich to AUX1, it's the other way around. Is it like for you as well?

Yeah, I have the same prob... (have to switch cause pgup/dn/end/home and escape is must have keys for me in Mediaportal .. I cant scroll down 50-60 pages without pg dn/end f.i) so I need to switch to PC to do that and then back..
