AtmoHue - BETA - Philips Hue support for AtmoLight & AtmoWin (1 Viewer)

No problems with .60 so far. Lights goes in and out standby just fine. Only thing I noticed the VU Meter(rainbow) is still out of sync. I've changed my hue delay to the default 300 ms which seems to be better but it's still not perfect. The thing is, while watching videos/tv I've never have a problem and the lights are perfectly in sync even with hue delay set to 100 ms. Maybe you can have a look at the live tv thing and fix the music vu meter with that.

Another question, what's the recommended hue delay? I see 300 ms is the default but 100 ms was working quite good for me also.

Will take a look at the VU meter code in Hue, we could add an fixed built-in delay there but will have to see if that will solve the problem

It depends on how busy the bridge is sometimes, I've used 100ms for normal sitcoms without problems but on action flicks it can differ so 300ms was the safest but haven't tested it thoroughly with the last couple of releases though (been busy with Hyperion ).

Yeah that one still needs more checking to make sure it's working as expected, can't hurt but does need a fix

Out of curiosity what's hyperion? I've seen this in atmoLight a few times but couldn't really find out when searching in google. When I see your video in the first post it's quite impressive.

Basically the same as Atmowin but it's controlled over your network and runs on an Raspberry Pi device, one of the nice things about it is that it can be used for any HDMI source and not just Windows:

Already using it on my PS4 and set-top box and is working without any issues for some time now, it also allows you to use a led type that is supported by FastLED which means you can pick just about any "smart" led strip out there.
Currently finishing up on my how-to and DIY guide as that will describe more things in depth as well as a few tips , already made some new videos and especially the Polka one shows how nice the response times are:

One things I noticed this morning, I've set the lights to not turn on between 6 o clock and 18 o clock but now the lights go on after resume and go off after some seconds. To be honest I'm not sure if this was also the case before

Think I know where that is coming from, it's due to the order it reconnects to the Hue:

- Suspend (Turns off lights)
- Resume
- AtmoHue restores connection to the Hue bridge and sets brightness
- Mediaportal completes resume shortly after
- AtmoLight restores connection to AtmoHue and sets last active effect (disabled/static color etc..) or in this case disable them between specific times.

Will see if I can change this so that AtmoLight sends a restore connection to the Hue Bridge thru AtmoHue but will need to expand the API a bit, put it on the to-do list

Have a fix in place which seems to do the trick, testing a new version of AtmoLight and AtmoHue at the moment and if all works as expected it should be out somewhere late tonight

New version of AtmoLight BETA and AtmoHue attached to first post.
On resume from suspend there's still a short moment where the Hue will turn on its lights, tried several different things to change that:

- Set brightness to 0
- Set initial color to black
- Combination of both

However did reduce the time the initial lights stay on (~2s) as a new command is send shortly after, will have to look at more examples online but couldn't find an easy fix so far and also seems like something the Philips Hue software is doing internally.
