    My setup is:
    • AVR out to an 5v powered HDMI splitter (TV/Hyperion)
    • HDMI from spliter to an HDMI female to male (the HDMI IN of my ambiDEL box)
    • HDMI female to male in HDMItoCVBS (unpowered) in NTSC Mode
    • 1-yellow composite cable from HDMItoCVBS to the fushicai USBGrabber
    • and the USBGrabber in the RPi asses
    • Rpi and leds powered from the same 5v 8A Power Supply
    Is it like yours ?

Yep that's the same except for this one:

    - HDMI from spliter to an HDMI female to male (the HDMI of my ambiDEL box)

I'm connecting the HDMI cable from the splitter directly to my TV, like this:
    • AVR out to an 5v powered HDMI splitter (TV/Hyperion)
    • 1st HDMI out from spliter to TV
    • 2nd HDMI out from spliter to HDMItoCVBS (unpowered) in NTSC Mode
    • 1-yellow composite cable from HDMItoCVBS to the fushicai USBGrabber
    • and the USBGrabber in the RPi
    • Rpi and leds powered from the same 5v 8A Power Supply

That's with an external splitter, the other setup I tried is with the 2 HDMI outs on my AVR but same result.

Would be awesome if you could post in the Hyperion thread (y)

Yeah its an Denon AVR and most are getting the dual HDMI output now as well like the mainstream Onkyo ones so its gonna come standard without having to spend the extra cash for it.

Very good to see a working detailed video finally, you got me convinced :)
If your could post you hardware specs and brands that would be great and maybe how everything is connected exactly so we can start duplicating the results (y)
Once that is completed will update the DIY thread with a separate chapter on how to archive 24P so others can use or link to it for reference.

Using the Denon AVR3313 myself which is the same year model only with more connections + dual hdhmi output so bit odd it doesn't work now so it must be something with one of the parts, since most DIY and commercial solutions are mostly using the same chinese parts it might be something they all share.

Btw do notice a bit of flickering on the leds in the Windows screen for instance, believe you need to tinker a bit with the Hyperion framegrabber settings (refresh rate) to resolve that as to compensate for the analog signal offset.
There's also a lot of quality difference between the hdmi -> composite converters, tried 3 so far from and 2 from same brand had different results and the Lightberrry one even has a weird random startup color effect (disco lights).

@Lightning303 I stand corrected :p:cry: , am happy to see it working finally as even the Lightberry kit didn't which was kinda disappointing.

Thanks for your tips, but it's only visible when I film with my camera, maybe a shutterspeed vs TV hz difference. With the naked eye, it's perfect.

Glad to ear that www.ambidel.com become the reference for the best working Hyperion : )

Here is the HDMI-Splitter I use.
hdmi splitter.jpg[DOUBLEPOST=1421757940][/DOUBLEPOST]Like you can see in my video, the VUMeter is not vivid because it uses my default hyperion settings that I love for TV/Movies/Series.

    Here's my request guys:

    • Can you implement an VUMeter only settings (HSV/Gamma/black level/white level etc...) for hyperion so I can use custom settings only with VUMeter ?
    thanks in advance guys.

Hmm that looks about the same as well (powered 5V hdmi splitter).
Do you maybe have an complete overview including product/brand names for the whole Hyperion setup?
