Have you tried disabling wireless networking, or do you need it?

I think I solved the issue (touch wood).

I removed Microsoft Security Essentials from my MPServer (MPClient still has MSE) and I did not have any stuttering on Live or timeshifted TV last night.
I am now using McAfee Antivirus 8.7i Patch3 that my work gives us for home use for free. I have configured it to exclude all MePo directories.

For the record, I just sold my Zotac MB and I'm gonna replace it with an i3-530 CPU. The Atom just doesn't cut it when you install a heavy skin with usefull plugins like MP-TVSeries and MovingPictures. Yes it can playback HD content, but everything else is slow and that bugged me. Don't get me wrong, it still usable and the default MP skin is faster, but I just love too much the skin I choose to go back to the default one.

What skin were you using out of interest??

I'm using StreamedMP on my Asus EB1501 and it works fine, except for one thing, the first time you call up the TV Guide, it takes about 5 seconds to fetch the data from the Server, but after that initial callup, it is fast.

Back on to the stuttering issue, I had another error free night since removing Microsoft Security Essentials from the TV Server. The Asus still runs MSE.

After 3 nights of HD and SD TV without any stuttering at all, I am now happy to declare my system fixed.

Root Cause = Microsoft Security Essentials on the TV Server causes increased DPC Latency over a period of a few hours and effects MP Clients.

What would be interesting to know is that is the MSE's kernel side components causing big DPC latency (I doubt) or is it some hard disk or other driver that causes the DPC latency to grow when MSE is doing it's scanning. Unfortunately the reason might not be newer known.

    I have Asrock ION 330.

With Cyberlink codecs (one that comes with PowerDVD 10) image is completely unwatchable. A lot of tearing

With ffdshow there are no tearing, but some frame drops (sometimes it even seems like watching a slideshow).

Windows 7 codecs are the best. No frame drops, but every few seconds image tears for a moment.

Am i doing something wrong, since Cyberlink codecs works so great for everyone else?
