Thought I would report on the Dvico Fusion 5 USB tuner and the latest (todays) SVN:

When I first start watching live OTA HDTV (w/timeshifting off), it looks (Fox @ 720p) great/sounds great. When I change channels, the new channel tunes but audio and video are badly out of sync. After the initial channel change, I can't change channels again.

I'm gaining confidence in MP. Commy, do you want me to paste a new log?

I think your issue may be related to the ones described here: http://mediaportal.elite-squad.net/forum/showthread.php?t=473

If you could dupicate your behavior and zip your entire log directory and upload it to that thread it would really help. This audio issue is a real bugger because the logs don't show a whole lot amiss, but there is certainly something going on, I think, with AC3 in general, and especially ATSC since the channels are all digital.

I checked the driver version and it was an older one. I updated it and it does need the "- ATSC" in the definitions.xml entry.

    Hey Folks,

I've got RC4 installed with the SVN build from 4/21/06 and ATSC is working pretty well. I'd like to get some feedback from ATSC users so I can amend or close a few Mantis bugs.

Can you use Timeshifting without audio/video sync issues? (I can)

How about viewing ATSC with TS off? Does your audio go wonky after a while?

    Right now I use a Fusion 5 Lite and a Vbox DTA-150.

Hi, i just tried auto scan with my ATI HDTV wonder running RC4 and SVN 04-08-2006--19-55. The scan crashes scanning at channel 39. here is the log http://pastebin.com/675768.

    thanx..

Can you try with the most recent SVN? I'm using the 4-23-06 SVN. I believe another user has a similar issue with AverMedia A180.

I cannot duplicate the error with my Fusion5 Lite or Vbox DTA-150. I just autotuned them both.

I have the A180 running RC4 today (clean install). So far, during my first setup run the machine simply hung at channel 9. The second time I ran it, it rebooted around channel 29 and the third time it got through and completed with no issues.

The logs are not providing any useful information unfortunately. I could compile a version with more logging statements if I knew the code path.

The good news is that timeshifting works! :) I've also ordered a VBOX 150 to compare.
