I know my results may very, just wondering if anyone has any success with this in MP?

I don't think there are any entries in the capturecarddefnitins.xml for that card. As long as it has BDA drivers, it will work. You'll just need to get me graphedit info for the card (i.e. monikers and ven_ID).

MediaPortal identifies the card as the "SkyStar", but can't tune any channels besides the one the card is already tuned on. So if it's tuned on channel 19, Mediaportal finds 3 channels under channel 1, and then can't find anything else.

I posted this thread about getting the EPG working with an ATSC tuner. I'm finding this very confusing.

Can someone give me a few pointers?

The zap2it plug in that bradsjm created should work pretty well for you. If you want it to work flawlessy, take the time to do this:

    1. Autotune MP
    2. Rename the the channels that MP autotuned to exactly what Zap2it calls the channels.
    3. Configure the zap2it plugin with your username and password.
    4. Uncheck the add channels
    5. Uncheck the rename channels
    6. Forget about it.

Been some time since my last post. Things have been going pretty well with my new HTPC and Catseye ATSC card.

Even with the latest full release of Mediaportal, I still have one problem. When watching ATSC broadcasts, if for some reason the signal gets weak or lost, Mediaportal freezes up and the last image is froze on the screen. Esc, CtrlAltDel, etc does not work, you can't even double click and go to another channel with a stronger signal.

Any ideas why this has always locked up my machine? In most cases I have to turn off the pc and turn it back on...

    Thanks, Randy

    Hi commodore,

i've been having this problem for the last few releases including 0.2. I get the message "unable to add streambuffersink filter" please help! this is only happening on my ATSC card which is an ATI HDTV wonder. It also only happens every few times i load up MP... so i havent been able to narrow down the cause.

here is the error from my log.. sorry pastebin wasnt working

I don't mean to leave you guys hanging like this, but I've been really busy at home and work, and my HTPC was down for a while (PSU popped). I'm still int he process of gettting everything back up and squared away, and have not gotten the 0.2 release installed yet!

Wilson Bradley are you sure you are scanning OTA channels? If you are please post your log at the pastebin and link it here. new pastebin link: http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com

Remote suport has thus far been mPod's domain, and since Fusion remote users probably make up 0.5% of the user base, I'm not sure that remote is a priority. But you never know.

Opusnut: I wish I had something to offer you, but I don't. :(
