You could change the PCI latency using the information in the Tips and Tricks forum to see if that helps. I also recall some users having issues with teh Cool & quiet software as well which were resolved by disbaling the software.

I have been able to dramatically improve the picture with my Air2PC card.

I replaced the ATI 9600 video card with an old ATI Radeon 9700 Pro. The fan had died on it and I gave up on it, but I installed a new fan and gave it a try. I also switched the codec to one with "ATI" in the title, I think it is Cyberlink (ATI). I also chose BOB deinterlacing. This lowered my CPU usage from 90% - 100% to 40% - 50%. And, as expected, the picture is beautiful. I set it to record Letterman last night, and it looks pretty good.

I enabled the swap/page file and this did nothing for me.

I don't think I'm using the cool 'n quite software, but I'll double check.

I'll also lookk into the PCI latency stuff in the Tips N Tricks section.

    Thanks!

Is anyone with an atsc card currently testing TVEngine 3.0??

    Jim,

Myself and Commodore 64 are currently testing the TV Engine 3.0 since we are ATSC users. Stop by #mediaportal on irc.freenode.net to talk to the devs there and see if you can begin testing as well!

The more ATSC testers we have the better the functionality and support will be when the TVEngine is released.:D

I was lurking around the IRC channel at the same time you were. I think the time zone difference will make it difficult for us to contact the devs.

I have 3 PC's and 4 different ATSC cards that I could use to test the new TV engine (not including the Linux MythTV & pcHDTV card)

The best way to contact me is through a PM.

    Paul S,

I tend to be on IRC when the devs are either just waking up or going to bed. Around midnight PST is when things get going good. :)

If you can VNC into your MediaPortal system that really helps, too. If you have time durning the middle of the day via IRC, that is also a good time to catch the devs.
