I want to use MP mainly for TV viewing and recording and was wondering if there is any way to automatically open the TV module (or any other module) upon launch?

check the wiki MediaPortal/Configuration/General - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

This section in the setup allow you to open last active module. This is stored when you manually closed down MediaPortal (i.e ALT&F4 or hitting the X button).
Next time you start MP it should return to your last screen.

Also in the TV Section you can ge the TV Auto turn on and go to fullscreen.

In my setup, I did the above procedures once and then from then on I do not close MediaPortal but just hit the power button to shut the system down (no Standby or Hibernate). Doing it this way does not give MP the chance to remember my last active module (which may be music or Video) or any other changes I have made with the views and when I reboot TV always turns On fullscreen.

There is a conflict as you have said between WinTV ad MP TV. MP TV takes over the Hauppauge HVR-1265 card. I may be even getting more channels with it. The Titan TV worked great until last year. Now it will not run the scheduler. WinTV scheduler will let me program manually but I have to set a program for each day. If I try to set...

Hi This is a general question about OnX. I have been using the TvWishList plugin for a while and have recently updated (update install) from MP 1.36 x86 to 1.37 x86 and found there seemed to be no Onx menu in the TV guide. I then configured the onx.presets.xml file like I would normally do with updates or fresh installs, but still...
