no update on the AV/synci ssues with 23,976 / 24 fps media playing at 24 hz?

is anyone getting flawless 24p playback?

thanks!

I do, but only if I use ReClock as my audio renderer. And thanks for all your hard work gibman :)

What's the point of using Reclock AND the Refresh Rate Changer? Am I missing something? I used Reclock in the past but it screwed with the audio and was unable to get AC3 5.1 audio with it, so I uninstalled.

Is anyone getting 24p playback without audio sync issues without using Reclock? Is anyone looking into this issue?

Cheers.

I have no sync issues with the refresh rate changer at 24p. It worked fine from the first version for me.

Cheers for that, at least now we know it's working for some :D

Next question, what hardware/software environment are you using - Vista/XP? On-board audio or standalone soundcard? Not sure what other questions might be relevant - anybody? Would be great to get this sorted!

could you please share your system specs / video codecs?

I'm going mad!, cyberlink, arcsoft, coreavc, ffdshow.... nothing works....
i have also tried both the EVR/VMR9 renderer.

Mediaportal is doing SOMETHING WRONG as im getting flawless audio/video in "windows media player" (or any other player using directshow)

im running a quadcore 3.0 ghz with nvidia graphics.

I've had sync problems with 24 Hz too. There are many threads about the problem now and for me it was solved by using the recommended codecs (ffdshow for audio and PowerDVD 8 for h264 video).

I've also experienced a smoother playback by setting the refresh rate for my nvidia card to exactly 24Hz (I know this is not correct for 23.976Hz content but maybe it's a driver bug) and using the latest driver (185.20 from guru3d.com). I've had massive problems with drivers between 178.24 and 185.20.

I'm using VMR9 with exclusive mode but without nonsquare mixing and 'NONE' for filtering mode. For PowerDVD Hardware Acceleration is activated.

    Just updated the SVN with this fix;

0001967: dynamic refreshrate could cause playback to stop. - MediaPortal Bugtracker

Finally took the time to install mytvseries plugin, thanks to Dexter - awesome series, hehe.

    /gibman

I noticed the bug tracker says that this is an XP only issue. I see this issue on Vista too, and I also see it with the Moving Pictures plug-in. Is this likely to be the same bug? I sometimes need to hit play repeatedly after the first initial refresh rate change, not just once more too.

Great work though, I must say, once it does start playing I can enjoy stutter free 24hz playback.
