Yes, I'll have a go this weekend.

There are no errors however, it just doesn't seem to instigate a refresh change on occasion.

The current refresh rate changer in the latest SVN (22029) does work for me when playing physical media.

Works for me too... (12 noon 64, Vista 64 and latest MP SVN).

Small problem here with the nVidia control panel.

I just replaced my ATI 3450 with an nVidia 9500GS. My TV (Samsung 6 series) supports 24p, and I had no trouble with the ATI profiles. Now I'm just trying to set up the custom profiles in the nvidia control panel, but every time I hit "test", it fails, and won't let me add the profile. I can set the refresh rate manually in the control panel to whatever I like (23,24,25,29,30,50,60, etc) and the TV accepts it just fine, but simply trying to add a profile like <1920> <1080> <32> <24> keeps failing - it fails to stick no matter what refreshrate I try to use. :s

I'm sure I'm just a bit retarded, and am missing something simple - but I can't seem to figure it out.

Edit: Ahh, it looks like it's a known issue with the last couple of nV driver releases. Guess I'll try an older release.

You don't need a profile, at least with my case I don't need one. All I do is put this command:

rundll32.exe NvCpl.dll,dtcfg setmode 1 1920 1080 32 24

hm doesn't work with vista:
"API not supported on this version of Windows"

Update, I get a CTD error (core.dll error). I had my comp formatted and I don't know what is wrong... will revert to MP 1.0. Cheers!

BTW. is there any chance to get automatic refreshrate to work with non pyshical media files?

Known issues
- When using the combination of moving pictures plugin + using "devicereset=true" then the video playback takes over leaving no the user unable to see the MP gui, or even stop playback.

Having same problem with ATI Catalyst Controle Center. Setting "devicereset=no", nothing happen, movie don`t start.
Will this problem resolved soon??

Anybody could plz tell me whats wrong with my configuration? Drivers are up to date. As SVN an Media Portal. Also, i dont use (yet) any other plug in. And if i try the reschange.exe lines from the start menu, without the extra "\" of course, work perfectly. But when i start MP, a WV window appear not letting me open the program.

Great. Dont know whats wrong now, but cant even open MP configuration. Again, a window appear showing MP configuration ... and find a solution or close the program. Hope i dont have to uninstall and install it again. Now that i finally configured SAF a other things.

Ok, doesnt matter. Problem was something else. Since version before i installed this plug in, didnt work either. So after reinstallation, goes fine. But dont know if its cause my tv doesnt accept 24p nor 768 and 50 hz (i know, my fathers should get a new tv), but it looks like in 720 and 50 hz, videos are worse. Colors change and even juddering seems worse. So ill keep it deactivated for now.

Ok, last time for today. hehe Ive finally set 1920 x 1080 24p for the videos. I thought it wont work since my tv is HD Ready and doesnt support 24p. But it does. And it seems to work pretty fine. Will test a bit more tomorrow.

No, Thats not needed anymore. It is already build in.
