- Yes force refreshrate is enabled.
- I just upgraded to the latest build and it got even worse.
- Tried both momovies and movingpictures

Weird problem.
-What codecs do you use? I can recommend SAF, which uses MPC-HC (dxva possible) together with FFDshow filters. You can find this in codec section at the top.
-Do you see the same result when you disable the notification of the refreshrate change?
-Do you have "default refreshrate" enabled or disabled? (Enable is best for constant GUI experience.)
-Maybe you can do a log-collection on the error you see. There is only so much to be found out by talking about it.
I dont know how to understand the log-files, but maybe another dev can have a look at it for you :)
The ATI driver 9.5 should work ok.

Good luck again :)

It's not driver related as this happens with ati and nvidia.

It happens with default set or not set, same with display notification. There is more troubleshooting in the latest svn thread.

This happens with any codec i've tried. However, it does not happen with VMR9, but this is not a solution.

it looks i have a workaround for the 24 hz stutter problem that upt now works.
i did set my windows refreshrate to 23hz
i als set the default refresh rate in refreshrate changer to 23 hz (23.976) and upto now i have had no stutter yet (where in the past i would have gotten some already for sure)

That's not really a workaround, as you're not changing refresh rates.

    I use SAF.

Will try to remove notification popup (when It works I will anyway, I just had it enabled to see what refreshrate MP tries to change to)

I tried both enabled and disabled default refreshrate.

I also tried different compatible refreshrates for my 25p (PAL .iso DVD) material, like 75hz and 100hz aswell as 25hz. (My Pioneer plasma makes a multiple anyway like 24p it makes 72hz and 25p 75 or 100hz etc.)

I'll try some more and see if I can pick out the log..

    Thanks, this looks good

    Guys,

I haven't tested this, as my productiom MP 1.0.2 is nice and stable at the moment. However, I would like to say a big THANKS, cause this new feature looks really good! Can't wait for stable MP 1.1!

    Cheers,
    Luke

Any thoughts of the option of refreshrate choices directly in mymovies/moving pictures database ie. be able to chose certain refreshrate for a specific file? All kinds of media don't seem to be sensitive enough for this plugin... if it works or not s too much of a lottery..

change refreshrate via remote or inside mediaportal somehow?

    ?!
Sorry, but what is your reasoning for this?
It is not the detection of the refreshrate which is faulty - it is the function itself which is changing the refreshrate who causes the problems.

    Cheers,

    :sorry:

But the problem seems to be to adapt this function so it works for all combinations of graphic cards and screens.

What is the actual problem? I can change my refreshrate in Catalyst back and forth a hunred times in a row and it makes the correct changes but with this plugin it changes to the PAL setting when playing a 24p movie and the other way around. SOMETIMES that is... sometime it works fine. With the latest 1.1 beta build it works worse than the one before... then I got it working atleast for a while... after start/stop of 4-5 moviefiles I had to reboot the computer to get it working again...

How can I fond out if my graphics chipset makes a device reset to change the refreshrate?

I have a gigabyte motherboard with integrated ATI HD3200 (780g chipset) and a Pioneer plasma.
