Hi all,

My native language is Portuguese, but I have my HTPC and Mediaportal all configured in English.
I also like to have the movies titles in English.
For that I have the Moving Pictures plugin configured to retrieve all the information in English, according to the image below.

I've been using this plugin for some time and it has worked well.
Some time ago, the titles began to appear in Portuguese, despite the setting: "Automatically retrieve movie data in the English language"
I think it coincided with IMDB change, which began to show the titles in Portuguese (localized).
Now when I add a new movie all information is in English, but the title is in Portuguese and I don’t like it.
It's very annoying.
My configuration:
- Windows 7 (in English) 32 bit
- Mediaportal 1.3.0.RC1, but it happened before with version 1.2.x.
- Moving Pictures v1.4.2.
I need help to overcome this irritating situation.
What should I do, what information do you need to help me?

Thanks in advance

I would suggest changing to manual and use themoviedb data source, it will get English if mediaportal is set to English.

    Hi again
I followed ltfearme suggestion and used the manual mode with themoviedb as data source, before Imdb.
It worked as I wanted, but there were some movies where the importer used Imdb as data source (titles in Portuguese again).
I also followed the suggestion of kiwijunglist, and used the Imdb +.
The result was worse because apparently Imdb+ uses Imdb and all titles(in english) have been translated into Portuguese.
My question is the following: is there any way to indicate Imdb which language we want? Like in Internet Explorer (attached image)
    Thanks

Did you configure IMDb+ plugin first to Force English titles via MediaPortal GUI?

I'm helping a Swedish user debug the IMDb+ language issue, and was afraid it would indeed transfer to other languages as well, but it might be an easy fix for me to implement.

    @RoChess, Yes i did.
If you want I can post my settings or if you want other information/config files just say so

IMDb and/or Amazon (who owns IMDb) has a tendency to switch how their website reacts on a moments notice. Before in my debugging I was simply able to open the Internet Explorer options, go to "Languages" and change it to for example "Swedish", and IMDb would show me Swedish titles. I repeat the same steps today and I get English titles.

This makes it near impossible for me to come up with a permanent solution.

Are you being in Portugal at least able to make it work the other way around? Inside IE, goto "Internet Options" and then add English as language and move it to the 'top' of the language list. Then visit some IMDb movie detail page that you know has a Portugese title entry in the AKA (Also Known As) list.

If that works, it might then already work inside MovingPictures as well (not sure if the trident engine used by the .NET framework relies on the same registry entry or if another is used). At the same time I created a new MovPic ticket to allow scraper-scripts control of the HTTP Language attribute, which will at least eliminate a large chunk of the problem. If all fails I will setup a proxy script on my USA based server.

Your situation is more unique in Portugal then Sweden, because there is a localized www.imdb.pt version available for you.

So let me know the results of that first please.

    Hi
I already made this change. if you see my post #4 in the image uploaded I have there that confguation
With this setting the IE works fine but MovPic remains the same
With that configuration on IE, when I try to access www.imdb.pt i'm automatically redirected to www.imdb.com
So it works for IE only
    Thanks

@manray, then I guess we have to wait for MovPic to get the HTTP Language enhancement, in the meantime I'll work on a workaround solution.
