Thanks very much. Do you know how I could change the tv recordings folder icon please, or which image is being called up? I edited this one (freeware web icon) to fit the Avalon skin colours, but no matter what png I edit in the programdata/skin/media folder, I can't seem to change the recorded tv folders from showing a big 'x' as though it were an error.?

Just some thoughts:

Really love the skin so far. Looks great. Can't wait for all the features to be added such as top bar and online videos working etc. Having used your TV section especially the EPG and the first screen which helpfully splits the categories into two so they're readable; I don't think I'll be able to use another skin anymore. It's beautiful.

I think the movies section is great too, at the same time, the top bar is superfluous, and hides a lot of the fanart under an (arguably) unnecessary blue bar with the words home and menu on it - so if it can be removed, that would be good.

You could also say that in the coverflow view, the same applies to the top bar, and the only information you need at the bottom is the name of the movie. You can get to the rest of the info with a single click, and the picture says more imo. The blue gradient at the bottom is great to tie it in to the rest of the skin, and all you need to acheive that goal. This is probably a long term goal or option I guess as it still looks prety good.


When you click through to the movie details the first tab is called 'start / overview'. It should lose the forward slash and become 'Overview'. Also if you have a separate tab as you do for description, there's no need to repeat the description in the 'overview' tab, as it is aesthetically less pleasant and reassuring experience.

Also, I'd like the option to turn off watched / unwatched labels wherever these appear please (even though they're done beautifully!) e.g. tv series, as for me the information is often wrong and seems to get in the way of the experience. And I'd rather not see the message 'fanart scraping' as whether I do or not, it doesn't affect or influence any choice or decision I have to make.

You can already do this for tvseries in the skin settings within MP gui as ive already disabled watched/unwatched banner in my setup. I agree that it would be good to have the option for movingpictures as well though.

Did you clear the cache? Otherwise your new pic will not be used.

Really great skin ;-) it looks very well!, but I can not use it because I am a 4therecord user and if I change to the recorded tv menu
there are no recorded programms listed. With the streamedmp skin it works fine. Is it a 4therecord issue or can I do anything to solve this problem?

+1! That needs to be done, please! And to make it great it should be implemented into Avalon just like the old weather plugin, with all imformation on home screen. That would be awesome.

+ 1 from me too. It would be great if this new weather plugin replaced the standard (now non functioning) weather plugin, so avalon skin for the plugin itself and also to use the data if possible for the 5day forecast on the home screen

That is actually from infoservice, not mediaportal itself

I use Avalon & 4TR and it works fine, try uninstalling 4TR and reinstalling.
