    Hi again

    Happy to help :)

Regarding the HDMI in: I know what you mean! The thing is that I don't think TV Server was ever really designed to handle general video inputs (ie. composite, s-video etc.). At present those inputs are only supported if the card also has a tuner, and even then there are situations where they won't work (or only partially work like in this case). I'd like to improve the situation and I've talked briefly with motor about it (thanks again motor for the graphshots :)). The work required is quite significant though, and I'm busy with real life as well as other issues. Having said that, improving support for general capture inputs really would be a great enhancement for TV Server in my opinion, so this "issue" is quite high on my list of priorities. It is just a matter of finding the time to do something about it. I can tell you that it won't happen before 1.2.0 - I'm targeting 1.3.0...

Thanks for the info mm1352000 - total bummer about HDMI (that's the holy grail I thought we were closing in on with this card!) - but I totally understand about real life edging in on the project!

My next question is about the component input.... when I click add s-video channels it adds the CVBS and S-Video channels - but there's no YRYBY channel (which is what I would have expected for the component input. (I get the YRYBY channel when I add s-video channels on my Hauppauge HD PVR) - does this mean the component input is also not available in MP?

    Hi BKCH,

Neither the HDMI or Component are available in MP - this is due to the card driver setup/configuration. The current tuner setup only sees three inputs on the crossbar (tuner, composite and s video) while the component and HDMI appear as a secondary crossbar capture device not associated with the tuner (hence why MP cannot access the ports).

If you use some other capture programs you can access either component or HDMI as Aver secondary capture device although the inouts appear labeled as composite (for component) and s video (HDMI) - except in the Aver supplied software

There are a few options including but not limited to the software that comes with the card to record and view either input at the moment but no integration into MP. Hope that explains it enough if not please ask away.

Hi Motor - thanks for the post.

I guess that's the end of this card for me :( I'll leave it sitting in the server and hope that in future versions the HDMI &/or component inputs become supported.

Thanks to both you and mm1352000 for the posts - I would have burnt a lot more hours on this without your posts :)

I note that you are using MP2. The following applies to MP1, but I think that MP2 is identical in this situation. "TV Server Config" has a "TV Mapping" panel in the "TV Channels" section. On the "TV Mapping" tab: The left column lists the channels that have not yet been mapped to the TV tuner identified by the drop-down menu just...

I currently have two Quatros running, one connect, one duo using OTA antennae, mostly UHF fringe area, mostly cat5 local network. Hauppauge card retired long ago. I have also retired very early SD units, the Quatros seem to work much better than the older units. Go to SD's support website and download and install the windows...

Actually I solved this myself. I did have the correct driver (it was the only one which would work). But on the drivers download page, there was an additional item called "TBS6281se V2 Change Mode Tool". There was zero documentation to accompany this. I downloaded it and ran it. It is a tool to detect the current run state of both...
