Unfortunately, Windows XP refuses to install the AverBDA driver for me.

I removed the previous A771 drivers (and their OEMxx.INF files from the \Windows\Inf\ directory) but am having no luck.

Has anyone been able to install the AverBDA driver?

(It looks like the AverBDA.sys is from Twinham, so I'm guessing this is a hacked driver from Twinham for their VisionPlus card).

    Gizmomelb,

Try the Twinhan drivers - it may work - you'll have to change the PCI vendor ID information in the inf file which i think the hacked drivers have tried to do.

The Tuner Driver ID - PCI\VEN_109E&DEV_036E&SUBSYS_07611461
and the Capture Driver is - PCI\VEN_109E&DEV_0878&SUBSYS_07611461

Make sure the Capture Filter and Tuner Filter is appropriately named in the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file.

Just FYI - the Dvico Fusion cards use the same Conexant chipset as well and they also have BDA drivers.

If someone in the UK has this card then if they send it to me I can look into it.

    DMAN.

Nope No Go with that driver :(

    Dman.

Just to confirm, I also could not get the Averbda.zip driver to work. I installed a clean OS and tried. It gave an error (10) Could not start driver. I will look into the Dvico driver.

Just to confirm Dman, are those vendor ids you gave for the Avertv 771 or for the Dvico?

    Thanks For your Help

They are the AverTV 771 monikers from the WDM drivers.

Thanks DMAN, i have replied :)

Do you want me to put in a disc with the latest beta drivers also ?

Would be cool as they fix some issues ?

    or maybe not?

Fingers crossed im sure there will be many 771 owners who will be thanking you if you can get it to run in Media Portal :)

I can grab the drivers from the web but I'm not likely going to use them.
    Just the card is fine.
