Hi jekkyl,

For weather I think you need to open MP configuration and do two things;
1. Set your city under "Weather"
2. Goto "Plugins" and select the "InfoService" plugin and make sure to tick the update on startup.

Secondly I cannot for the life of me work out how to get the Menus to show on the bottom of the main/home page liek in the screen shots!!

Can you please post a screenshot. Have you selected to start MP with basichome in MP configuration or are you using the old home?

Weather seemed to just come right, I had already set everything etc.

I was using the Old home!, changed it in the settings and have the menus on the bottom!

when trying to run the mpe1 I get a version warning and after that I get error: The given key was not present in the dictionary. After that a screen with five mpeinstaller errors and the it stops all together. Any ideas why?

Hi,

Thank you all for your feedback. I will try creating one installer using a MP1.2 Beta version of the tool and one (like the current) with MP1.2 SVN version to try to resolve the installation problem. Will let you know as soon as this is done (need to install MP1.2 Beta first).

I wanna thank you again for your great great skin. One often overlooked feature of Backdrop is its fluidity and smoothness, which makes it the perfect starting point for creating other skins or mods IMO.

While Maya and Avalon both are gorgeous as well, they both got small stutters here and there which hurt the overall impression. Guess it pays off when the creator of the widely used Fanarthandler creates skins himself.

Would it be possible to introduce some kind of changelog at some point for us modders out there who like to tweak some xmls to their personal preference? Or maybe give us SVN access?

@ cruse: I agree with everything you've said I don't know about you but I've changed the fonts, font colours, several screens (including 4TR TVGuide, Recorded TV, InfoService, added Webbrowser.xml so I can read News Feeds etc) plus changed the "now recording" icon and a few other things to do with common.facade settings. Most things are copied from Avalon and then tweaked a bit. Then when cul8er updates Backdrop I just drop my "custom files" in and it's tweaked how I like it For me it's the perfect way to have a skin which is kept up to date by a dedicated (and skilled!) developer but also looks how I want it to look = very

When this skin gets given it's own sub-forum I'll post my tweaks as a separate thread but right now I think it's a bit pointless.@ any Moderators reading this, when will this skin be listed in the Maintained Skins section? because imho it definitely qualifies...

EDIT: @cul8er: I'm not sure if this can be achieved via the skin but I thought I'd ask anyway: Now that MP can play videos from the MyPics plugin (finally!!) would it be possible to overlay the thumbnail of the video files with something which indicates that it is a video file? (kind of like how MovingPictures (or maybe it's TVSeries) can have an overlay on the cover saying "new")
